VIENNA (AFP) – Austria will “very soon” impose border checks and deploy soldiers on its frontier with Italy if the influx of migrants across the Mediterranean does not slow, Vienna’s defence minister was quoted as saying Monday.
“I expect that very soon border controls will be activated and that a assistance deployment (by the military) will be requested,” Hans Peter Doskozil told the online edition of the Krone daily.
He was cited as saying that this move was “indispensible if the inflow into Italy does not ease”. The paper said that 750 soldiers were available and that four armoured vehicles had already been sent to the area over the weekend.

What are they waiting for? Two years ago would have been about right.
If you go and look at the location of the deployment....it’s the Brenner Pass area. From west or east, for 30 miles...there’s no other road to cross the border.
What this will primarily do is freak out the Swiss because that’s the next basic direction....if you were driving from Italy north toward Germany. My humble guess is that you will see increased border control at the Swiss point over the next month as well.
The various European countries have ships to stop the migrant flow. They lack the will to do it.
So the clueless European governments slap the label of “refugee” on millions of Muslims invading their countries illegally, when 7 of 10 are coming for economic reasons. The militant Muslim governments in Africa have so destroyed their countries that Africans will try to cross the Mediterranean on inflatable rafts to get out of the hell holes that Islam has produced.
Imagine that the religious affiliations was reversed. What would Muslim nations do if suddenly millions of Christians showed up to settle in their countries for economic reasons? We all know the answer to that.
