people have doubted the efficacy of synthetics, since synthetics have existed; you may be quite right...but who would’ve thought that synthesizing a little white pill made from a bodily protein binding to GABA receptors would relieve anxiety? Yet exactly that was acheived with the variety of benzodiapines, which is the only thing that gives me relief...between benzos and cannabis for the ten years or so I probably have left, give me cannabis, if it works...

I don't smoke or consume marijuana and I drink very little. I've had a few episodes of anxiety and panic attacks, worst episode being in 2008 when my business failed, my dog died and then my father passed away, within the space of six months. That would have been difficult for anyone and so experiencing anxiety and feelings of panic was not all that unusual of a thing to have experienced. I got myself through it with prayer, breathing exercises and physical exercise.

Currently I'm not looking for relief, it's you who has stated that you're looking for such to the point of considering using marijuana again, which is what initially prompted me to respond to you. And so, it's curious to me that you're attempting to turn this around in such a manner.

I took Ativan for almost 10 years. It was great for panic attacks & not much else for me. Thankfully, I was able to titrate off Ativan & haven’t had any since August 1, 2016. I’m really thankful I could do that as I have read some horror stories about folks who stayed on bento’s for too long. I also refused to operate a vehicle while on Ativan because I didn’t feel like it was safe to do so.

Take the time to research the issue of taking Ativan for more than 5 years & the debilitating effects of such use if you haven’t already.
