If ObamaCare is repealed and isn’t replaced, the GOP will get slaughtered in 2018. The dirty little secret is that most ObamaCare provisions are very popular among Republican voters.

Then why repeal and replace?

They need to repeal some of the measures that drive insurance costs through the roof — like the “minimum essential coverage” requirements and the prohibition against lifetime or annual caps.

The "minimum essential coverage" has done virtually nothing to raise rates when compared to lack of coverage caps or the requirement to cover people with pre-existing conditions at the same rates as everyone else. Yet Congress will strip the coverage requirements, do nothing on the caps and pre-existing conditions, and claim that their plan will lower rates. Insanity.
