The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), the leading conservative seniors organization in the country, filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Thursday over CNNs reporting on Russian hacking.
In the light of hidden camera videos from James OKeefes Project Veritas showing a CNN producer calling the narrative bulls***, and CNN Contributor Van Joness characterization of the Russia collusion story as a nothing burger, AMAC has brought a complaint under FCC regulations against the knowing broadcast of false information.
AMAC President Dan Weber, in a press release accompanying the filing of the complaint, said:
[I]t became clear CNN personnel are violating FCC rules by knowingly broadcasting false information. It is the FCCs chartered duty to prevent broadcasters from knowingly airing false information, and thats why I am filing a formal complaint with the agency.
I further call on all Americans concerned with the preservation of truth and civil, democratic discourse to join me and the Association of Mature American Citizens by filing their own complaints with the FCC.

I’m a senior - can I join this suit?

C’mon C*NN what is your reply?
Good!
I just joined for 16$ per year and voted on a couple of polls.
They actually have a good site we conservative news.
Wow! Great stuff. Thanks for posting.
Does the FCC regulate cable content?
I just joined. Not expensive at all and my wife and I together joined for just $59 for 5 years. Any organization thst is ready and willing to take on the corrupt media deserves our support.
I’m a senior - I want in too.
The FCC regulates “providers” of electronic signals to consumers. CNN is a production company company, not a signal provider. The suit would actually be against cable companies and broadcasters for relaying CNN’s material.
Judicial Watch, and, IIRC, Roger Stone have already filed such complaints. If the FCC could shut down political viewpoints, Fox News would have been first.

...Specifics of the FCCs Rules
The FCCs rules prohibit holders of broadcast licenses from broadcasting false information concerning a crime or a catastrophe if:
the licensee knows the information is false; and
the licensee knows beforehand that broadcasting the information will cause substantial public harm. The public harm: (1) must begin immediately and cause direct and actual damage to property or the health or safety of the general public; or (2) divert law enforcement or public health and safety authorities from their duties...
Welcome aboard! Wife and I have been members for a year and very pleased. Worth the money considering all the discounts and benefits.
Thanks for that
CNN might have some FCC licenses for two-way business radios and for satellite frequencies. Satellite freqs could just be contracted from third parties. The suits seem to be just fund-raising gimmicks.
Note that the Federal Trade Commission (not the FCC) has jurisdiction concerning false advertising.
https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/fcc-and-freedom-speech
...The FCC is barred by law from trying to prevent the broadcast of any point of view.
The Communications Act prohibits the FCC from censoring broadcast material, in most cases, and from making any regulation that would interfere with freedom of speech.
Expressions of views that do not involve a clear and present danger of serious, substantive evil come under the protection of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech and freedom of the press and prevents suppression of these expressions by the FCC.
According to an FCC opinion on this subject, the public interest is best served by permitting free expression of views...
Nice to the 2nd power.
I just joined.......take that Commir Rats!
God bless us Oldies but Goodies!
