I would strongly suggest people read Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games novel trilogy, especially the first novel, The Hunger Games. Collins' description of the denizens of the fictional capital city of Panem with their indulgent, parochial, and sanctimonious attitude almost PERFECTLY describes the Liberal Elites of 2017.

Also, Socialism--because it goes against human nature--has to be implemented by force. Humanity should have been warned when after the French Revolution, the Committee of Public Safety under Maximilian Robespierre may have killed over 15,000 people in the Paris metro region for political reasons. But that warning was never heeded, and as a result in the 20th Century the reigns of Josef Stalin in the Soviet Union and Mao Zedong in China may have resulted in as much as 150 million dead for political reasons.

Wasn’t the inspiration for the Hunger Games the author’s fear that somehow Bush was a fascist who was going to overthrow the American Republic? How ironic that she created a model description of socialism’s ultimate state.
