Yes, Exactly right. In this little town, a tiny berg in the Big Empty (that is West Central Pennsylvania), of mostly Democrats in a veritable sea of Conservatives who voted for Trump, there is still considerable angst and anger that Trump won. I, being a conservative, don’t feel free to put a Trump sticker on my ToyTruck. I know it will get egged or worse yet, keyed down to the rust and maybe the siding will come off.
After living here for almost 20 years, I do understand how the Democratic Powers that Be, have made being a pariah a fine art and ultimately ran off most of the conservatives.
Frankly I think they are pathologically mentally ill.

There is another, related reason. Leftism is a constant search for utopia. The reason, they think, that we aren’t living in utopia right now is people disagree with me. I must strike them dead and then we will be living in utopia. (Evidence the hundred million or so killed by communism.)

I contend that in terms of surviving, we are living in utopia now. Where but utopia can the poor be grossly obese? Want to visit utopia, it is no farther away than your local Walmart. (Boy, won’t that idea stick get stuck in their throat and choke them?)

Wow. So much truth, and finally an explanation for why they’re unhinged.

A little over a month ago, I went to a family reunion event in Toronto (very fun and enjoyable event, needless to say). Even there, I could hear someone off in a corner with another person talking about Trump (believe it was to do with the Comey affair, but we all know what happened with that one, eh?).

I did not say anything as I certainly did not want to spoil the event for myself, but privately shook my head in disbelief. Someone like that taking the anger that they had towards that man to that occasion on that nice Saturday afternoon, good God.

“If you genuinely have high self-esteem, you can easily brush off challenges to your competence. When you have high, but unstable self-esteem, you become much more upset when your self-image is challenged. This can lead to anxiety, anger and lashing out as part of an effort to keep those doubts at bay. It can also lead to unchecked hatred of anyone who makes you question your value.”

I agree with this theory to a large extent but I think they’re also PO’d that we wrecked their agenda, their electoral college advantage, and their party and then we reveled in their misery and trolled them mercilessly. Don’t worry Liberals, we haven’t completely wrecked you...yet.

I would strongly suggest people read Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games novel trilogy, especially the first novel, The Hunger Games. Collins' description of the denizens of the fictional capital city of Panem with their indulgent, parochial, and sanctimonious attitude almost PERFECTLY describes the Liberal Elites of 2017.

Also, Socialism--because it goes against human nature--has to be implemented by force. Humanity should have been warned when after the French Revolution, the Committee of Public Safety under Maximilian Robespierre may have killed over 15,000 people in the Paris metro region for political reasons. But that warning was never heeded, and as a result in the 20th Century the reigns of Josef Stalin in the Soviet Union and Mao Zedong in China may have resulted in as much as 150 million dead for political reasons.

"elite liberals seemed to genuinely believe that people who didn’t vote for them were just poor, deluded saps who didn’t understand what was in their own best interest. Is that condescending? Sure, but at least it’s not hateful."

Of course it's hateful! So hateful in fact that they are threatening assassination, have actually attempted it, and are psychotic with hatred!

The hate has reached dangerous, psychotic proportions!

The Democrat HATRED is like a mass paranoid schizophrenia!

It's dangerous!

"liberalism is shot through with narcissism. Narcissists believe they’re better than everyone else just by virtue of being who they are. So do liberals. Liberals also believe they’re smarter, more compassionate and more caring just because they’re on the Left."

Yes: these are paranoid delusions of grandeur.

They are also under the delusion that the US Presidency was stolen from them, that conservatives are violent, that President Trump has totalitarian designs, etc., et al.: these are paranoid delusions of persecution.

The more Truth threatens these delusions, the more they accelerate into a dangerous, paranoid, delusional mass psychosis!

John Kerry hates enlisted men as his recent comments to middle eastern troops. He accused Viet Nam soldiers of killing children and war crimes. He thinks himself better than most. Hillary thought most of America as deplorable. The news media has been lying about just about everything as a propaganda agent for the globalists decades. Conservatives usually set back and take the abuse.

So, what happens when their views are REJECTED wholesale across the heartland of the country to such an extent that you can drive coast to coast without ever crossing a district run by Democrats? What happens when people point out that most of the policies they champion don’t work? What happens when people reject the idea that liberals know what’s best for them?

Libtards go insane. Trump knows this, and he knows exactly what to say to make them more and more insane every day.

“That’s the problem. They don’t believe they did anything wrong.”

Wow, what a difference 12 years makes. The “What’s the Matter with Kansas” book came out right after the 2004 election, where Bush was re-elected and the Dems didn’t pick up jack in Congress.

Then came Pelosi’s, what I seriously consider brilliant, strategy of telling Democrat candidates to say what their constituents want to hear, in order to get elected, and only to get elected. If the constituents wanted to hear “no on gun control”, “no on abortion”, “no on gay marriage”, that was JUST FINE with her. They went on to win huge numbers of seats in 2006 and take the House.

Then, of course, once elected, they would do as told, and they did, because they always agreed with her from the start.

The scary thing was just how many Americans defaulted to the Democrats and those lies when given two (apparently) similar candidates to choose from. Whether we like it or not, head-to-head, the Democrats are able to beat us enough to control the House, if they are able to be perceived as credible on mainstream issues. I wish we could fix that, but that is a major fallout of now controlling the media.

But THANKFULLY, Pelosi still plans to stick around and now she’s radioactive. Also the Republicans have finally figured out that they cannot win races on ‘local issues’, they need to tie the candidate to Pelosi, EVERY TIME. So keep praying that Pelosi stays right where she is for 2018 and beyond...we really do need her to win.

Excellent description of the enemy.

On FR, we ALL know this and acknowledge this.

The next question: knowing this, how do we then defeat them, before they move to their next likely phase: violence and tyranny.

I’ve always felt like they don’t believe that there is evil in the world. Any means to an end that they see as good is okay with them, even if it forces millions more onto welfare, or into the gulag, or forcing little girls and women to have to deal with a man in their restroom, or whatever.

The “good”, or I suppose God in their lives is government, taxation, feminism, irrational environmentalism, etc.

To me, it’s the old “everybody has to have something to believe in”

I guess it’s true that if you don’t believe in something you’ll fall for anything.
