European Union Rattled by Trump’s Visit to Right Wing, Anti-Migrant Poland

European Union (EU) officials are worried U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s visit to Poland will bolster the populist, right wing government there, encouraging their defiance of the EU, and damage “European unity”. The president’s one-day stop-off – en route to the G20 summit in Hamburg – is for a gathering dubbed the Three Seas project, bringing together leaders from Central Europe, the Baltic States, and the Balkans.

The event has been convened by Poland as it bids to garner influence outside the EU – which has clashed with its nationalist government over migrant policy and sovereignty.

“One cannot but feel a bit suspicious if it isn’t an attempt to break up European unity,” an EU diplomat said about the Three Seas project, speaking to Reuters. Another senior EU official said it was part of Poland’s push towards “self-ghettoisation”.

Poland’s ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party and Mr. Trump have similar views on migration and climate change and share a suspicion of international bodies and globalisation.

The president also backed Brexit and predicted the further break-up of the EU; his dealings with the rebellious, right wing governments of Central Europe will be watched closely by Brussels.

Trump should point out especially to Frau Merkel the last time someone forced the Poles to “become part of the continental union” was in 1939. It is not happening again, force or no force.

What? Because Poland doesn't want to accept hundreds of thousands of uneducated, unskilled African invaders pretending to be refugees?

How dare them!! Who do they think is going to pay for their pensions?

Breitbart:

On Tuesday, 8,500 African migrants are reaching Italian shores aboard 14 different ships, adding to the 5,000 who arrived on Monday. The massive arrivals have led local media as well as politicians to speak of an authentic immigrant “invasion” exceeding the country’s capacity of assimilation.

Officials reported on June 15 that more than 65,000 migrants had arrived since the beginning of the year

One of the most productive plants in the company for whom I work is in Poland. Very pleasant people to work with. They deliver as promised and produce quality.

Not to belabor the point but get out of the EU before they have an army of their own.

Once they have an army it’s basically over, only a matter of time.

(And don’t think the I don’t care who makes the rules so long as I control the money crowd is gonna stop at making the rules too)

At the rate the politically correct surrender monkeys are going importing Islam don’t bet that said army won’t eventually become an instrument of Sharia.

Ya think? I think Trump should visit Poland and then wave at the G-20 and France as he heads home. He can accomplish nothing with either of those two meetings.

Just as bipartisanship means agreeing with progressives and compromise with progressivism is always still progressivism.

The left are not political companions rounding out a system, they are political enemies infecting and corrupting it.

Mmmm. Pierogies.

The only countries I would now visit in Europe are Poland and Hungary. Even Scotland, which I’ve always wanted to visit, would be off the list.

Hungarians and Poles recognize that the EU is just a “soft power” version of the Soviet Union with many of the same goals. The Soviets robbed them of their independence and attempted to replace national identity with Communist Ideology. The EU is attempting to do the same by replacing nationalism with globalism, albeit with more carrots than sticks and with a more benign façade. Fortunately, the people of Poland and Hungary aren’t falling for the con of yet another internationalist false utopia, and will no doubt one day withdraw from the EU.
