I have heard people making comparisons to Reagan’s cabinet, and that Reagan made the call in the end. With the exception of Steve Bannon, I’m not too fond of the presence of Goldman Sachs people either.
Most of the so called GS people haven’t worked there for over ten years.
So where were you going to go for people who really understood the banking & financial system? You need people who got to the top of those pyramids but who had original ideas and cared more about country than money.
Trump’s cabinet is composed of rich, powerful successful men/women who care more about their country than their salaries. That was part of how he chose them; they share his idealism and desire to give back using the skills and insights they have honed.
