The child is dying if not dead already. His brain is already decayed and other parts of his body in the stages of death.....and has been increasingly so for some time...the desease he has is following the normal path that it always does. There is no cure.

They’ve been thru every court possible but the parents just can’t see the obvious...very sad case.

No, if any of those things were true, the US research institute would not allow transfer. The care is an experimental trmt in mitochondia, not a kids hospital. Very strict admissions to use a human in research.

Hello, I can understand your point.

But mine is less about the child and more about liberty. In my opinion if the parents have the resources and the desire to take it all the way to the end then they should be allowed to; as you already pointed out it, probably the child is not even aware, and probably has nothing to lose.

Why should the courts have this decision? The fact that it got into the courts is disturbing enough, someone somewhere did something.

And then, where does it stop, what are the boundaries?

I have studied history, economics and psychology for over 45 years. I would rather have anarchy (preferably Kantian) over tyranny (any form of central control).

And of course the primary assumption here is the parents are good people and no just law have been broken.
