Nothing wrong with the glam contest. Just, inappropriate to connect a glam contest to an internship at the plant. Not “work related.”
BTW Every one of the girls was offered an internship.
While the contest was silly at best and demeaning at worst, studies show that appearance matters in professional advancement, even when we think it shouldn't.
The worst part is that it was on Facebook, which thinks it should replace all other social institutions.
This is the one exception where everyone definitely should get a trophy.
