... Pakistani officials are certain their country is enduring the new extremes of global warming. In the United States, the current leadership is not so convinced. Even though the Department of Defense lists global chaos caused by climate change as a daunting security challenge in the years to come, our president (who pays little attention to what experts in his government have to say) seems not to give a hoot. His big idea for protecting national security is a travel ban on Muslims that does little to enhance procedures that already exist for catching terrorists who may try to slip into the country. His big idea on climate change is to abandon the Paris accords that set greenhouse gas reduction goals for nearly every country on the planet.
Statistically, the odds that any American will die in a terrorist attack is one in millions. The chance that any American will be affected by climate change, however, is already 100%. But terrorists are more viscerally scary, in a swarthy-skinned movie-villain sort of way. For politicians, it is easy to drum up fears about fanatic creeps who behead innocent people and scream religious slogans before they blow themselves up in public squares.
It is much tougher to raise alarm about climate change, an existential threat that is still hard to fully comprehend. And it does not help that the best remedies for the problem are opposed by the fossil fuels industry that funds the campaigns of the politicians who choose to believe there is no climate problem at all.

That was signed and promptly ignored bu every country on Earth. Add to that the barely-suppressed laughter from China and India when they signed it.
Let those who believe in climate change pay for it. Not on the U.S. taxpayer’s dime.
Those so-called "experts" were installed by the previous communist government. They are NOT "experts in HIS government." As soon as he fires all the hold-overs and has his own people in the government proclaiming it to be a hoax, we'll see of LAT then says he should "pay attention to experts in his government."
But, I'm not hopeful we can rid ourselves of all the obama embeds.

But let’s have that debate honestly. This writer is disingenuous to say that your odds of being killed by terrorists is miniscule, but that our odds of being affected by climate change is 100%. Let’s have this part of the debate, regarding how foolish the premises behind some of the talking points are.

Climate change is the direct result of unrestricted socialism. We must unite against all socialist if we wish to save our planet. I predict we only have five years before the oceans rise 100 feet and we all drown. /s

The odds of getting killed by terrorists is kept low by an enormous and growing security effort which is costing us billions. The Pakis only signed with the expectation that they will be getting billions from us to enrich their ruling class while leaving their country a polluted hell hole.
Nowhere in the article does he mention a real threat that doesn’t stop at borders, and you all know what I’m talking about.

OK imagine this: If we allow sufficient numbers of jihadists to enter the US it will lead to Armageddon (Clash of civilizations and nuclear war). A decent “Nuclear Winter” could solve two problems, global warming and Islamophobia.
