Very true, however, during that time Russia was in no economic or military position to do anything about it. If you recall, a small contingent of Russian troops from Bosnia deployed to the Pristina airport in order to secure it from occupation at which point that fag Wesley Clark nearly started WWIII.
Now with Putin in charge, and taking his actions in Georgia and Crimea into consideration, I don't think the Kosovo scenario will ever happen again. Putin is not interested in protecting Serbia for Serbia's sake, he's interested in projecting Russian influence and keeping NATO at bay. Bosnia would simply be another "opportunity".
