What really bothers me is that TV shows like Dateline run stings all the time. For the first year or two, I could understand them catching people that way...with traps set...it was a new, and almost unknown, thing.
But now EVERY PREDATOR knows about Dateline and the stings...yet they continue to think they won’t get caught and fall right into those traps.
So yes, it does seem that the supply is inexhaustible.

I worked with older detective who investigated these perverts for years.
He resignedly said that you could staff a room with fifty people 24 hours a day, all investigating child porn and its attendant crimes and not make much of a difference.

They do not arrest you for meeting someone. We had a local kid get “met” by an older guy from 100’s of miles away. He didn’t get arrested. You have to solicit sex. These are the easiest crimes to document because the pervs are verbose and likely to send a picture of their privates.

Read some of the cases. It’s totally unconstitutional. They arrest you even if you don’t solicit sex.
And like I said, the cops usually are on ADULT websites posting as 18-20 YEAR OLD WOMEN. They aren’t posting as kids. You don’t go onto an ADULT website with “INTENT” to have sex with a CHILD. But here we are, the police going where men are vulnerable to getting stung, instead of going where the kids are vulnerable.
Yes, I can and WILL defend it. There is no cure for child molesters. When they get out of prison what do they do? Go back to molesting children. Put them in prison for life with them actually doing hard labor

Total fallacy. Sex offenses have the lowest recidivism of any other crime but murder. On the other hand, child molesters should not ever be released from prison. But they are, and most don’t go on to commit more sex offenses.

No it isn’t. California no longer prosecutes the child, but they prosecute the pimps/johns/etc.
I did. They weren’t any except on pro-perv sites. I know someone who works for the SBI in NC. Catching these guys is really easy.
And they(NC) don’t do stings much any more because people don’t use IM/chat much. They busted some child porn sites and have the user/credit card files.
