On the news here, the local police was looking for a 7 year old boy who mom was killed by her pimp. The pimp is involved in human trafficking and they found him (the boy) in California with the pimp. Police is not giving out anymore info for now, but I bet he was used for sex...poor boy...Mrs Deplorable and I might see if he can be adopted. He needs a good family.

They aren’t. They are chatting with LEO’s that say they are 18, then lead the conversation to sexual talk. There was a guy here that agreed to meet a girl that said she was 20, but that she was hanging out with her friend that was 17. He said over and over he would not have sex with the minor, multiple times. They badgered him into meeting for days, he finally agreed but explicitly said he would not have sex with a minor. So he went to meet the girl and boom arrested. Because just saying something sexual “online” to anyone saying they are 17 or younger(whether they are or not) meets the condition of charges in lots of states. However lots of these stings are like that, and the guy gets convicted.
I agree if they are out seeking kids then they should be arrested of course. But bait and switch stings are wrong dude, and LEOs do it and get away with entrapment and aggressive tactics daily. It’s not black and white, and I understand there are big emotions at play when you hear things like this. But I challenge you to actually read about some of these cases and evaluate objectively.
The florida internet stings scandal was all about massive LEO entrapment stings that would literally violate constitutional rights and you should read about it. They got away with it for a long time too, but finally got busted.
Because they are going to do it with “hate speech” soon, and you’ll be wailing then.
