Tapper is trying to justify the lies and propaganda of his employers by claiming that their target is devoid of truth and decency. In other words, the end justifies the means.

Trapper and the other media charlatans still don't get it. Trump is not a “politician”. He can't be bought. He can't be cowed by threats from the media and their vapid weapons of lies and distraction. He is going to take it to them and return attack for attack, slight for slight, ambush for ambush. Trump is going to tell it like it is and stand up to the lazy, useless lotus eaters in the media. I say its high time someone on our side did.
