Haley: Russia and Iran to share blame for any chemical attacks by Assad

The US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley declared on Twitter that any chemical weapons attack by Bashar Assad's Syrian government on his own citizens "will be blamed on Assad but also on Russia and Iran who support him killing his own people." Haley's tweet ended with the words: "Stay tuned for more tomorrow." It followed a White House warning that Assad would pay a heavy price if he again resorted to chemical weapons against his own people. The US military believes the preparations are similar to those made before the April 4 chemical weapons attack......

Here we go again. First problem is to believe anything that is reported by DEBKA. Second is to assume Trump is setting up an invasion.

One would think that people borne to logic and not emotional outbursts know Trump is not an emotional thinker, and more-so acting on it.

Being that we have eyes all over that country now and have received very early reports of material logistics that are a part of the precursors of chemical weapons in play, he can preempt that logistical move by letting them know on the world stage that we are that little annoying voice on their shoulder advising them to take heed.

Then comes ISIS. Our Kurdish allies are decimating them with our advisors help and guidance. About all that will be publicized from this administration is the known fact of what I just said. Krauthammer made a stunning statement of his analysis of the ISIS situation last week. Stunning in my book because it was not his normal globalist drivel but an insight in that all we are doing now with ISIS is the mopping up and what is now in play is what happens to Syria’s makeup after ISIS is eradicated as a fighting force. As is now being reported, their area of final stance in Mosul is less than 600 acres and shrinking rapidly. They have now been relegated to suicide attacks outside that containment. The once might force at the end of last year has now come to less than 600 acres of control.

Then the offensive in Raqqa is even going better. One has to really do some searching to find out what is going on there as again, the Kurds are tightening the noose on that offensive as well. We do have people on the ground, mostly for artillery support because we won’t make the same mistake again and just give them our latest stuff for the fear of them keeping it under control. But, the Kurds are not known to turn tail either.

So, ask yourself, where has the media been to report all of this to you? Let logic be your guide. The adults are in charge now and the petulant press is being relegated to being what they are best at, petulance. If you see something in any US reports that makes claims of the Kurds ding this and doing that sourced by the same folks who took on the meme of the “White Helmets” for their propaganda, then go ahead.

I predict when the dust starts to settle, the Kurds will again have their own autonomous homeland that the Turks will still try to use genocidal tactics to wipe them out. Syria will be a shell of itself and the comeuppance is on the horizon for Iran’s continuing and more egregious transgressions hoping it all will bring back the 12th Imam. They are in essence their own worst enemy. The Arab Shiite rule will come to an end with the resurgence of a reborn Persia.

“Promoting Hillary’s foreign policy. And McCain’s. And Graham’s. This is not what Trump campaigned on.”

Chemical weapons against your own people is a crime against humanity that needs to be prosecuted.

“..Trump is acting the air force for ISIS in Syria.

He said he was going to wipe out ISIS while he was running....”

true - good point

I sure hope that a new supposed chemical attack is not being setup as a PRETEXT for bombing conducted to defend Islamist rebels in Syria.

Sure. Agree. But there is no proof that Assad used chemical weapons, and he has no motivation to do so. He is winning, so why would he do something that stupid?

Now, for all the believers in principle in this thread, why did Bush not prosecute Clinton for using CS gas at Waco? Are you pushing for a foreign power to hit us militarily for that crime?

Sean Spicer’s statement from the White House and Nikki Haley’s tweet were not made up by DEBKA.

They are real and they were posted online by both.

Still no hard, impartially gathered evidence that Syria chemically attacked its own citizens. Assad isn’t stupid — he has no reason to give the USA a pretext to attack him for actions having no military value.

US Judge Rules Assad Helped Al-Qaeda Kill Americans

Russia and Syria aren’t fighting ISIS or barely if so. The Putin apologists are out again with their malarky and accusing our president of things. Maybe these Bernie Bros should go off to the DU.

The Assads have long helped terrorists,Syria has been a designated state sponsor of terrorism since 1979; Iran funnels missiles to Hezbollah and Hamas through Syria.

Syria likely even helped bomb 250 of our Marine soldiers in Beirut in 1983.

Sorry to disappoint but most of us who you assume are never trumpers supported Trump. We also remember him saying he was going to get us out of Syria.

We took him at his word.

Not sure if one can find an exact quote for what you are saying. Trump said he'd bomb the #### out of ISIS and that is where they are, Syria. ISIS is really being beaten back in Iraq to where they talk about a post-ISIS Iraq. Syria is a bit more serious, but our backed-forces, the SDF, Syrian Democratic Forces are defeating ISIS in Raqqa.

What is it? Russia has been there two years, Russia bombed Raqqa, the ISIS capital. Why isn't ISIS defeated already? No, our forces have to do it, SDF, mainly Kurds and Arabs are in it. No, the Assad regime doesn't even control all of the suburbs of Damascus.

Legitimate tactics in siege. Surrender or suffer. And if you don’t surrender, and the city is taken by storm, everyone inside can be put to the sword.

That said, we need to get the heck out of there. There are NO good guys in Syria, except maybe the Christians and Yezidees. And maybe the Kurds. And there are not enough of them to make a difference.

In that case the terrorists we’re supporting in Syria need to be prosecuted. Assad has zero motive to use chemical weapons on his own people, that’s the kind of crap that losers do and he has not been losing recently.

Its a good thing that wasn’t Russia’s position when Iraq was using American-supplied mustard gas on Iran. (Bechtel, George Schultz, etc)
