Adoption is recounted to us, approvingly, in so many Biblical narratives. Adoptive parents, especially those who teach by example those timeless values of self-sacrifice found in those narratives, are to be commended. Thanks for giving the rest of us in society cause for hope!
The story of Jesus himself displays the ability of a step-father, a non biological parent, to play a very positive role in His life. Jesus was in part nurtured and groomed to fulfill His destiny by his non-biological father.
