Had to be nice to be able to relax a bit, knowing your mom was in good hands ..... and they weren’t yours. :-) Suzye sounds like a winner of a caretaker.
Keeping all appendages crossed for luck that your mom stays quiet the rest of the evening. Do you have “homework” or do you get a night off from that for a change?
Just took a peek at the radar and there isn’t anything impressive in the way of rain up there. Just a little scattered stuff. Drat!
It was a good enough day. Weather was perfect for our travels and though I don’t like travelling on the interstate, it winds through the mountains and the scenery is stunning right now. So gorgeously green.
As I just told LUV, there’s a chance I won’t have eye surgery after all but the choice will be mine. Got a lot to think about the next 3 months.
Thank you!
I don’t normally jump into the canteen, but had to because of Holloman:)
It didn’t dawn on me till someone at church mentioned it that this weekend is the 4th weekend. I just hope Friday morning, everyone is still at work. LOL!
I hear ya on the surgery. My eye doc suggested it, and I opted out. My problem isn’t THAT bad...and I was afraid surgery would mess up something else. Don’t they nearly always do that? But, if it’s really a big problem, you would want to consider doing it. Your optometrist will give you the right advice and information.
Good morning, ML...((HUGS))...hope you get to do pub night. And hope you stay dry.
Good morning, Mac...*HUGS*...everyone doing well these days? How was your trip to the north?
Oh MAN! It IS the 4th weekend, isn’t it? I hadn’t thought about that. Be careful out there on the highway.
The most unnerving problem is the possibility my vision could be worse with surgery. The odds aren’t real high but they’re there. The other “cons” are the possibility of infection and the very slight but existent possibility of blindness. It’s a lot to think about.
Good morning, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
It is a lot to think about and you’re smart to go slow and get a second...or third!...opinion before leaping. Don’t want to mess with our eyes any more than necessary!
I will be careful, if only the gazillions of 18-wheelers will. LOL! I try to keep my distance and to keep my cool. Sometimes it’s hard on both accounts!
I really don’t want the eyes messed with at all. *shudder* But it’s reached the point it’s almost impossible to make glasses I can see with. The optometrist is the one who’d said I’d need to have my eye dealt with before new glasses could be made. I need to tell him what the surgeon said and see if there’s anything we can do if I forego the surgery.
One step at a time.
18-wheelers are what wore us out today. Too many out there. Some days are worse than others and today was one of those days. When we went last month, there weren’t nearly as many.
Maybe if you leave really early (hard, I know. LOL!) you can beat the crunch.
We thank you for your service to our country.
You KNOW that ain’t gonna happen! I was thrilled when I found out that I was expected late afternoon. That meant I didn’t have to get up early! I’m so spoiled! LOL!
I’m sure your local doctor will give you the best advice possible. It’s hard for internet addicts to go without sight, though. :)
I pretty much figured it wouldn’t. :-)
How long does it take to get there?
I hope we’ll be able to do something without the surgery. My computer glasses are what give the most trouble now. The every day glasses are livable for a while yet.
Good evening, Janey...((HUGS))...enjoy your kickback time.
Go Snoopy!!! You are an excellent dog house pilot!!
Oh, hi Sand...((HUGS))
It takes about 4 1/2 hours, house to house. I stop once or twice. Boredom and “other” things. :) And to get a snack. I’m not one of those people who can drive forever without stopping. I get way too antsy. LOL!
How are your little monsters tonight?
That’s a pretty long haul. You do well if you stop only once or twice.
The girlies don’t seem to be quite as wound up tonight. Maybe it’s far enough past the new moon it’s losing its influence on them. I hope so because it would be nice to get a decent sleep for a change.
A good night’s rest sounds wonderful and I hope they don’t get riled up just because we discussed it. LOL! Peaches is outside so I’ll probably sleep pretty good. There are rain clouds to the west of us, but they look like they’re “melting’’ before reaching here.
Aw...it’s not so long. Remember, Texas is big. It used to take me 7 1/2 hours to go see the kids up in OKC. To think I fussed about it and now it would take 2 days. LOL! Silly me!
Guess I’d better go! See ya tomorrow night for good ol’ quiz night! :)
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, Lauren. How's it going?
Good morning, Sandrat. How’s it going?
Yeah, it’s sounding pretty good to me too. The wind is starting to fall from the sails. Been up a looooong time now.
There’s a decent-sized patch of rain on the radar north of you and maybe it’ll hold together and give you some more rain. Stuff starting to move into TN now and that’s supposed to be here sometime in the morning. We’ll gladly take it if we can get it.
Yes indeedy TX is a big state. LOL! I thought it might take you longer to get to Ft. Worth but 4 1/2 hours is still plenty long, especially when driving alone.
Get a good night’s sleep. Curious as to what quiz you’ll come up with for this week. :-)
