Hawaii Attorney General Doug Chin says the important thing about the U.S. Supreme Court's decision on President Donald Trump's travel ban is that it won't go into effect for people with a "bona fide" connection to the United States.
Chin said Monday that means University of Hawaii students and family members of U.S. citizens may still enter the country.
Hawaii sued in March to stop the travel ban, arguing immigration shouldn't be restricted by religion or national origin.
The nation's highest court says it will allow a limited version of Trump's ban on travel from six mostly Muslim countries take effect. The ban can be enforced if visitors lack a "credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States."

I've always said that if there's a secession, it won't be the red states leaving, but the blues.
Pretty noticeable that the media is avoiding this WIN like the plague.
That’s how they got a 9-0 decision to overturn the stay. Now the trick will be to find the second cousin to get a US nexus. Hawaii will find ways around the restrictions but hopefully this will slow them down a little.
Not you!
If that were to ever happen; which frankly would not surprise me in the least, then I am moving to Texas! I am surprised that he TIIC in charge here in Hawaii haven’t made that offer already.
this guy , Chin , is such a crap weasel
a real mongoose
That was already provided for in version 2 of the "travel ban", so the judge in HI can't take credit for that.
But only if they’re not bow ties.
While a clean ruling would have been better, this still does give Trump all that he wanted. The final step, hopefully happens after the cases are heard, and we get the clean ruling...which will very likely happen if Kennedy is gone, and definitely happen if Kennedy and Ginsburg are both gone.
dey no go stay
