Don’t they make you put that on the conveyor belt going through Security? I have something similar for around my neck, but smaller, where I have my boarding pass, driver’s license, and some cash. They always make me take it off and put it on the conveyor belt.

I never feel so helpless as I do going through TSA. No phone, money, credit card, ID, etc. It’s panic time.
