Given radical Islamic terrorist attacks and people's concern about safety, Florida's Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd advised that people who are not afraid of a gun should get one, "and if you need to shoot somebody, shoot them a lot."
He also advised gun owners to "get a concealed firearms license and carry it."
Sheriff Grady made his remarks to ABC Action News (WFTS) this week.
If youre not afraid of a gun, get one," said the sheriff. "Become proficient. Get a concealed firearms license and carry it."

Judge: “Why did you shoot him 15 times?”
Defendant: “I ran out of ammo your honor.”
Actual testimony a lawyer friend of mine heard from his client. BTW, the judge ruled it justifiable homicide. The perp was attacking his wife.
My Sheriff! And, a great guy to boot!
Possibly what he meant was, "if you shoot somebody, practice shooting a lot"???
Shoot first, shoot often.
We’re proud of him here in Polk County, FL!
I’ve got my license. It’s the 2nd Amendment.
We all know he loves camera's a whole lot, but most of us know he also keeps his department so paranoid, they rarely screw up.
He will continue to be reelected, as long as he chooses to retain his position.
We don't want a warm, cuddly Sheriff here. We want a Sheriff who enforces the laws, and has demonstrably produced results against criminals.
I read an article where, in the Old West two guys who had a grudge against each other shot it out. One guy had a handgun, and tried to bushwhack the other, who had a rifle. The rifle guy won.
The jury at the Coroner's inquest returned a verdict of "suicide". Some judge was outraged and asked howinL could they come up with that verdict. The foreman replied that "Anyone who uses a handgun against a man with a rifle is committing suicide."
I remember that presser! It was a truly unforgettable moment in a long line of powerful Grady Judd quotes.
Yes..
Bring Two Guns!
Therefore, the rifle in your vehicle to fall back to. An SKS works well for a serviceable rifle that isn't too valuable to leave in there everyday. Stripper clips load pretty quick, hard to top off though.
Sheriff Tuco?
