Given radical Islamic terrorist attacks and people's concern about safety, Florida's Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd advised that people who are not afraid of a gun should get one, "and if you need to shoot somebody, shoot them a lot."
He also advised gun owners to "get a concealed firearms license and carry it."
Sheriff Grady made his remarks to ABC Action News (WFTS) this week.
If youre not afraid of a gun, get one," said the sheriff. "Become proficient. Get a concealed firearms license and carry it."

If there is complete social breakdown the police sheriffs military and gun owning Americans will restore both the peace and the constitution.
“Liberals watching the Sheriff just shit enough bricks to build the wall”.
LOL!!!!!!
Sounds reasonable.
Anything worth doing is worth doing big. Seriously, making sure they are not playing dead on you ought to be a real concern of everyone.
And here I thought I’d never be in love again.
I’d like five please.
LOL
Ok, it looks like I left off the link!
....Liberals watching the Sheriff just shit enough bricks to build the wall...
Not like lib heads are exploding. It’s more like popcorn popping.
Which?
Two small holes or one large?
“Two small holes or one large?”
One large wins, which is why “big holes” were listed first. If you put a .45 hole in a bad guy, you might not need a second hole.
What’s he got there, and where can I get one?
You forgot hugs. Plenty of hugs...
Love it!
Easier said than done. I have concealed carry licenses (from two states), but my own state won't recognize them.
Therefore, I cannot carry.
We need National Reciprocity for concealed carry.....now.
If those Congressman who were pinned down, under fire, while unarmed do not now understand that people need to be allowed to defend themselves, then never will understand.
“Whats he got there, and where can I get one?”
Glock 18. And no, you can’t have one.
There are only a handful in the US and getting those were Class3 firearm nightmares. On top of that, the pistol itself is closing in on $20,000 sticker prices.
It’s neat, but if you look long enough you might find someone who has one. Then you will lie awake every night envisioning the sear assembly and thinking “I can DO THAT”
I’ve always said empty the magazine, reload and after the perp flinches, empty it again....
Now there’s some advice to live by!
UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS RULES FOR GUN FIGHTING
1-Bring a gun. Preferably, bring at least two guns. Bring all of your friends who have guns.
2-Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap. Life is expensive.
3-Only hits count. A close miss is still a miss.
4-If your shooting stance is good, you’re probably not moving fast enough nor using cover correctly.
5-Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend. (Lateral and diagonal movements are preferred.)
6-If you can choose what to bring to a gunfight, bring a long gun and a friend with a long gun.
7-In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics.
8-They will only remember who lived.
9-If you are not shooting, you should be communicating, reloading, and running.
10-Accuracy is relative: most combat shooting standards will be more dependent on “pucker factor” than the inherent accuracy of the gun.
11-Use a gun that works EVERY TIME.
12-Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.
13-Always cheat = always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.
14-Have a plan.
15-Have a back-up plan, because the first one won’t work.
16-Use cover and concealment as much as possible.
17-Flank your adversary when possible. Protect yours.
18-Don’t drop your guard.
19-Always tactically reload and threat scan 360 degrees.
20-Watch their hands. Hands kill. (In God we trust. Everyone else, keep your hands where I can see them).
21-Decide to be AGGRESSIVE enough, QUICKLY enough.
22-The faster you finish the fight, the less shot up you will get.
23-Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
24-Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.
25-Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun, the caliber of which does not start with a “4”.
No need for which when you can have both.
. . . and look at the money saved!
Some kind of Glock contraption I am sure.
He should be careful with that.
