Did you ever think that we would have the majority in the House and the Senate and occupy the White House, and abdicate our solemn duty to “the public”?
It’s the duty of our elected officials to do what is best for the nation, so special interests cannot game the negotiations.
You put the health care industry, the insurance companies, and the general public in the mix, and I think it would get very ugly very fast.
Each would be trying to get as much as they could for themselves.
Let me be clear. I had always wanted input from the health care and insurance companies, but when you do get that, you have to realize you’re going to generally get suggestions based on how things have always been done.
The idea you’ll get new thinking or cutting edge ideas is misguided IMO.
I faulted the Clinton and Obama efforts for not having insider contributions, but I want top finance guys involved as much or more than I want those two groups involved.
Give us a sound economic structure. Let the market place work it’s magic.
As for insurance companies, they are siphoning hundreds of billions of dollars away from health care provision each year, and not a dime of it will go towards treatments.
Imagine if that insurance company profits did go toward treatments, and a majority of it could got back to premium payers.

All the money would find it’s way into supporting medical provision directly.
If medical insurance companies are such a great idea, why not have food insurance and gas insurance. We could pay a middle-man and about 85% of our purchase price would go to food and gas, and the rest would go to the insurance company to run it and for profits.
What? You don’t want to pay more for food or gas?
Why do you want to pay more for health care?

My plan allows for subsidy-eligible “all the doctors” prescribe bulk drug purchasing coverage plans.
My plan provides for a Federal Drug Marketplace with income-based pricing.

My plan separates out drug coverage subsidies so hospitals can be care-only coverage providers.
Most of the middle class likes to travel and often lives far from their workplaces, so hospital provided care-only coverage will often not meet middle-class needs.
