Before explaining I must state this is written with a servants heart. It is not my intention to debate the arguments or merit of legislation, only to point out the logical pathway if people hang tough, support President Trump and stay out of the traps laid by special interests (and their special-interest paid troll army).
(snip)
♦Unions dont want health insurance back in/on their liabilities. ♦U.S. CoC Multinational Corporations (Wall Street) dont want the liability of worker health insurance back on their ledgers. ♦Big Pharma does not want limits to how much they can charge (profits) and they want a small group of decision-makers they can purchase and influence. ♦Big Ed doesnt want government to lose control over college education subsidies. etc. etc.

Step #1 establishes the ability (decouples ObamaCare).
Step #2 allows HHS to frame the parallel system (deregulation).
Step #3 establishes the broader parameters for the non-government health insurance market.

I’m willing to wait and see. How about you? How about Ann Coulter? She sometimes thinks and acts like a blonde (unfortunately)
I have read the 142 pages twice today...I see where they have taken out the ‘tax credits’ like they were in bamicare...
I’m still trying to absord a lot more of it, but Sundance does make it easier for me to see what is happening...
This was the Congress version, now lets see what President Trump is going to do, and then the Director of HHS is going to do...
I think by the time people get settled down, and can absorb a lot of this information, it won’t seem as bad...
And like Sundance says: ‘Don’t fall for what the media and faint of hearts in Congress are trying to feed you’...make up your own mind...
Keep government out of healthcare.
I’ll await final words from DJT himself. If he doesn’t approve, then we’ll know how bad it is. Or good, as the case may be.
How will this be paid for if passed? Will Medicare again be robbed? Penalties may be zero now but can the next Dimwit President increase those penalties if the mandates stand? These are questions that concern me.
I still think the government has no place in healthcare unless it is, as Trump promised, to open the opportunity to buy insurance across state lines.
Yes!
Price knows what he's talking about.
Bttt
The Treasury Secretary Mr. Munchin has already laid out the plan to raise the debt ceiling from 20 trillion to 35 trillion dollars.
This is likely to be voted on in Congress the coming weeks under the cover of the July 4th holiday and if it isn’t then, it will be in the months ahead.
(How will this be paid for if passed? Will Medicare again be robbed?)
The medicare (federal health insurance) and medicaid (state health insurance) systems will remain the government safety nets for older and lower income populations. [Medicaid income eligibility qualifications in a 0 to 30-50k range depending on dependents.] This should have been the original approach all along; to cover the uninsured by giving them access to medicaid and the entire mess could have been avoided. Alas, that wasnt the intent of the takeover for all of the aforementioned reasons.
(Penalties may be zero now but can the next Dimwit President increase those penalties if the mandates stand?)
Under Trumps long-term (3 step) approach the non-government healthcare market, the majority of the population, will break free from almost all of the ObamaCare government regulations; and the insurance market will be empowered to provide an insurance product that fits the individual needs of the person purchasing the insurance.
( as Trump promised, to open the opportunity to buy insurance across state lines)
Step #3 establishes the broader parameters for the non-government health insurance market
Looks like Mr Munchkin doesn't know what he's talking about. It should be going the other direction.
Access to Medicaid?! NYS’s counties cost share the Medicaid burden with the state. Medicaid is bankrupting our counties. We can’t afford any more dang access.
It's not the Federal Government's job to supply health care to anyone...that is what bamicare did to us, he had to stick his nose into something that he didn't have any business doing, and I didn't see any Republicans at the time going out and pounding the cement in their districts to prevent this from happening...they sat back and didn't vote, which in a way was good, but now we Americans have lost savings, good paying jobs, homes, and everything else over it...
So when your upset, just remember YOUR STATE needs to hear what your opinions are...you elected these people, now deal with them at the voting booth...
I’d like to read the story but the website is so full of pop up adds and it keeps shooting you to the top of the story it ain’t worth it.
Can someone post majority of the article here please.
I didn't vote for a single one of these idiots, dear heart. And we plan to deal. By moving.
Good for you...
At the current rate of progress, Step #3 could be a long way off yet. How many private-sector insurance providers will be left by that time?
I too have read this mess but not twice. I could hardly stand once.
I do not like the Washington ComPost but they have a somewhat reasonable summary of the “Better” Care Act which is neither Better or about Care.
... Heck .... Most people in the country DO NOT even know that the ACA is imploding in on itself and is on life support ... and not expected to survive much longer. All they are hearing from the media is that the Greedy, EVIL, Wicked, Mean and Nasty Republicans want to take the healthcare away from needy starving Women and Children for no reason at all except that that's what the spawn of Demons do to the innocent.
.... Nope ... They have absolutely no idea that the ACA is actually insolvent and that these same people that these Nasty Trumpoids want to snatch their much needed healthcare from ... Will actually loose their "Healthcare" even if the Republicans DO NOTHING.
.... What needs to be done now if they want to gain support for this cause ... is to take it to the public venue and have a heart to heart press conference aimed at the people and explain the dire need for the change because this "Crisis" as the way it stands now ... will leave millions currently on the ACA left holding the empty healthcare bag and nowhere else to go.
.... Explain to the public ... that is why it is important to do something about it now ... Not because the EVIL Republicans are the spawn of the Devil ... but because this needs to be fixed NOW if they know what's good for them ....
.... Heck .... Get the warning out to them NOW. Then in a few moths time they will be begging to have this thing resolved ... especially after their massive rate hike and loss of providers that are dropping like flies. Then have an actual Bill in place to take to the public .... AFTER they beg for help. It's all about communication with those who will be affected..
