All those taxpayer dollars wasted. There was not a single student in six entire schools able to read or do simple math.

I’m telling you, it’s not about the schools, it’s about the home life.

But they can sell you a dime bag and reload a Glock.

Maybe those 6 schools can’t produce a single teacher proficient in English or Math, either.

It is more a case of attitude than ability. When the kid who couldn’t pass a math class becomes a drug dealer he suddenly becomes proficient in weights and measures and calculating prices for x grams at x dollars per. He can figure the vig on the shylock loan he made you, too.
But in school, doing well is “acting white” and thus unacceptable.

Public schools are not about education, they are about indoctrination with whatever is the preferred world view at the time. Privatize all schools; guess how much money the country would save.

They’re taking your advice - almost. They rioted two years ago, and they sue every productive person they can find an excuse to sue. Education? That has nothing to do with their lives, not if they’re never planning on getting a real job.

If you could read and write, would you be willing to teach in one of the six worst schools in Baltimore? I wouldn’t even drive through those neighborhoods.
