Guys & gals. There are no to limited insurance in many, many states now due to Ocare. It is simply not a political reality to think you’ll just repeal Ocare and NOT have some provision to replace what was left by Ocare void.

It’s going to take several bills, incrementally moving in the right direction. I know people here don’t like that, but it’s the reality in DC, especially with McTurds, Collins, Graham, etc. Trump’s ability to strong-arm the senate is limited here.

The provision for getting rid of ObamaCAre period is people purchase their own Insurance from the Insurance Companies.....I don’t see what the problem is in doing that.

Absolutely Sounds like a couple of amendments will also be added to this one.
First get rid of the elements that make the health bill a tax

Totally agree. The big bang replacement approach is not going to fix it. Its going to take multiple efforts because the damn thing is so complicated. They will be tweaking healthcare legislation for years to come.

“It’s not a political reality” - Because? Because? Because what? Because Republicans DON’T WANT TO.

So? — I simply don't care, I want it gone. — I neither want, nor welcome, the federal government in healthcare, insurance, marriage, intrastate commerce, nor a whole host of other issues that according to Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution the federal government has no legitimate legislative business.

It’s going to take several bills, incrementally moving in the right direction. I know people here don’t like that, but it’s the reality in DC, especially with McTurds, Collins, Graham, etc. Trump’s ability to strong-arm the senate is limited here.

Ridiculous!
Just look at this bill.

Some states have one option to select whether you have obamacare or not if you don’t have employee sponsored health insurance, that or Medicaid and you can’t get Medicaid if you are not qualified to receive it. It will take some time and guidelines as to what they can and can’t do before private insurance companies can begin offering alternatives to customers.

I fear the senate version will be so watered down as to make it useless but these four senators are trying to do what the Freedom Caucus did in the House, putting some teeth in this squish of a bill.

McConnell is going to have to enforce some party discipline and the Republican parties at the state levels need to start pushing (R’s) in their respective states to start calling their senators and pushing for changes and for this putrid portion of the government to get off their precious rear ends and get back in the war.

I am agreeing with you. Trump needs to just get this done. We can't have him finish 4 years with Obamacare still in place.

So why is Rand et al opposing?

They have to get the first one passed before they can incrementally move in the right direction. Hardly a given.
