It is the best kind of redistribution of wealth by leftists: take wealth from the people and give it to the favored few.

Claim that it is for their own good...

Whoever is pushing wind turbines and solar panels as a viable alternative to “fight climate change” also deserves a mark for similar reasons. If it were all that and a bag of chips, subsidies and hiding the whole truth would be unnecessary.

..and recall that this is before they leave the factory. How much ADDITIONAL CO2 is generated from super-green natural gas generating plants charging these batteries up? Plenty!!!

“... because it is a meta-analysis (ie a summary) of all the available studies on the subject. “

A proper meta-analysis is much more than a mere “summary”. A meta analysis involves using sophisticated statistical analysis to aggregate the findings of several studies — thus (amongst other things) greatly reducing the margin of error.

Assuming (1) the meta-analysis was done right, and (2) the initial studies were done right — then, these results are far more telling than a mere “summary” would have been.

And that doesn't take into consideration the mining of the lithium ore by fossil fuel equipment, made from steel in a fossil fueled factory. It also doesn't account for the fossil fuel based transportation from the mine site to the extraction facilities - electrified with fossil based fuel. And of course, the construction materials and components that comprise the Tesla factory, all from fossil based materials, from manufacturing sites using equipment made by fossil fuel based equipment.

But for fossil fuels, "green" energy cannot exist.
