Liberals are OK with incrementalism. I think that this is a step in the right direction.

I’d imagine the background checks are going to be very, very problematical. Though I would support extreme psychological vetting.

It’s good that the conversation is going that way rather than a law further restricting us peasants.

No special “perks” for government officials. None. Either we all have rights or we don’t. People in government should never be more equal than the people. The warpped thinking that Congresscritters should have special rights is one of the main swapcritter problems.

I'm not at all certain that I have a problem with this. But perhaps while they're at it perhaps they can attach a clause stating that ordinary citizens....law abiding ones,of course...can do likewise.
To: ItsOnlyDaryl
good for me but not for thee
I’m all for term limits. One term, they live in a dorm, same pay rate as a pfc. And when its over, banned from any type of lobbyist and never set foot in Washington again.
I’m sick and tired seeing these a s s wipes entering with a net worth of $600,000 leaving 15-20 years later worth over $25 million. How does this happen?-—did you exempt yourself from laws we have to abide by?
