Al Gore: battle against climate change is like fight against slavery
The Guardian ^ | June 21, 2017 | by Damian Carrington

Former US vice-president says green revolution is bigger than industrial revolution and happening at faster pace than digital revolution.

“The climate movement should be seen in the context of the great moral causes that have transformed and improved the outlook for humanity,” he told the Ashden green energy awards ceremony. “It was wrong to allow slavery to continue, it was wrong to deny women the right to vote, it was wrong to discriminate on the basis of skin colour or who you fell in love with.

Gore acknowledged there was opposition to strong action on climate change, but cited the US civil rights movement as an inspiration: “During some of the bleakest days of the civil rights movement, Dr Martin Luther King Junior was asked by one of his fellow advocates how long is this going to take and he famously answered, not long because no lie can live for ever.”

Gore told his London audience he was optimistic of success, despite the recent US withdrawal from the global Paris climate accord: “No one person can stop the climate movement or the sustainability revolution – we are going to win no matter what President Donald Trump tries to do.”

This is what I can’t stand is the hypocrisy. Every celebrity from All to George & Leo have homes that rival small hotels that obviously cost a fortune to heat, cool & maintain. They do everywhere....often in private jets & live an expensive lifestyle. Yet they want to this all us average people how to live. You live a normal life & don’t live in a palace....I would at least be willing to engage you. The “Let them eat cake,” schtick is old. Nine bathrooms All, really??? And you want to lecture me?! I think not.

One Hollywood person who walks the walk, in the little I have seen him & read about him is Ed Begley, Jr.

Does it have a wall? A gate?

But of course!

Can't have those climate deniers, Bitter Clingers and baskets of Deplorables wandering in and out as if it was the Trump Tower.

You can see the driveway gate in both pictures and the wall is hidden in the landscaping.

Big AL has a real problem when it comes to speaking TRUTH. He’s right up there with a carnival barker, but not to denigrate carnival barkers of course.

AL GORE'S SLAVE QUARTERS

With a "Carbon Footprint" larger than a lot of cities in California.

nine bathrooms

Hmmm... could this be necessary due to all of the B.S. he's been throwing out there for years?

This is what I can’t stand is the hypocrisy. Every celebrity from All to George & Leo have homes that rival small hotels that obviously cost a fortune to heat, cool & maintain.

They buy 'carbon offsets' and claim it equalizes their pollution, energy consumption, etc. and gives them a zero carbon footprint.

But it's just an accounting gimmick, otherwise known as a scam.

Paying money to some corporation for a "permission slip" to pollute doesn't undo the pollution created, the energy consumption, aircraft exhaust, etc., etc....

I laugh at his worthless life.

I wish it was worthless. For him, it's certainly enlarged his bank account and his gut.

I honestly think that, 50 years from now, Algore and his quixotic quest on "Climate Change" will be considered to have a more damaging effect on humanity than Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring", which lead to the banning of DDT.

Al's completely full of it; fighting "climate change" is like fighting Nazi's, NOT like fighting slavery. Just ask Sgt. Fury.
