When the Republican-led Senate Rules Committee briefly flirted with the idea of restricting television interviews in the hallways of the Capitol last week, it became only the most obvious manifestation of how the partys leaders were handling the development of a bill to overhaul Obamacare: out of the public eye.
While that effort was quickly sidelined after some outcry, the Republican leadership in the Senate was otherwise unfazed in its push to craft a bill that would expose its members to as little negative public attention as possible. No repeat of the town hall meetings that drew angry constituents who yelled at House Republicans and, they clearly hope, no weeks and weeks of swamped office phone lines.

I'm afraid that idea never crossed their minds. All we are likely to get out of them is another stinking, steaming turd.
Take the vote.
Any Republicans who vote with Schumer on this should be “primaried out”...
Rush to a vote? That really means .... Before Thanksgiving recess
Vote on Christmas Eve like the Dems did.
Sadly they're more likely to cement it in place than get rid of it.
Quick! Let’s vote for it so we can see whats in it!
Took the words right out of my mouth.

My guess is that if you want to see 95% of what it contains, just read the House bill. All the talk about the Senate starting over was, in my opinion, a ruse to deflect the press’s attention from the process.
From the few press reports on the Senate bill, it looks like the two main issues are how long to take to phase out the Medicaid expansion, and how much should the subsidies to purchase individual policies be. Plus they also appear to possibly be considering retaining a couple of the taxes that were imposed under Obamacare.
My guess is that the Senate bill passes and the House takes it up and passes it with no changes. Trump will sign it the same day the House passes it. The whole process could take just a day or two from Senate passage to enactment into law.
It’s becoming clear to the GOP that not passing a health insurance bill risks not passing a tax reform bill also. And if neither of those happens, you can kiss the House goodbye in 2018. Voters will cashier the GOP legislators for nonperformance, and they’ll deserve it.
ye, if they don’t back trump all he does will evaporate into thin air on the next administration , total bs
congress does not feel our urgency

Besides, I want to see Obama get ticked off, with his signature policy thrown into the ocean with a boat anchor wrapped around its neck.
People will blame Trump and the Pubs for whatever happens anyway. When someone loses their healthcare because the exchange shuts down they will blame whoever is in power at the time, not who passed the bill years ago. They always have and always will. Doing nothing is not a viable option.
