WASHINGTON — A Republican congressman who survived the horrific baseball shooting will offer legislation this week to allow lawmakers to carry guns throughout the nation’s capital.

“I’m going to be introducing legislation this week … to allow congressmen to carry a sidearm, should they so desire,” Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Members of Congress are “high-profile targets, but we have absolutely no way to defend ourselves because of Washington, DC’s rather restrictive gun laws.”

Nope. Never. First, we don’t have national reciprocity. Second, DC is a federal city and is viciously anti gun. Third, I say let the politicians enjoy the full fruits of the society they create in America.

No special protection. Not here, not in healthcare, and the deserve zero retirement. If they choose to make a career of legislating, I recommend they invest their 174k a year salary wisely.

The federal judges declared long ago that they can carry. By claiming that they are their own first line of self-defense.

Happened after a some lawyer and judges(Is that redundant because all judges are lawyers) got shot. One incident happened in Fort Worth.

Since the 2A is NOT for personal protection, but rather for protection from governmental tyranny... this law would grant protection FOR governmental tyranny, by arming government at the expense of the people.
