Three episodes in, Megyn Kelly's Sunday Night is suffering from no shortage of attention. The former Fox News personality's transition to NBC host got especially bumpy this past week with the show's heavily-dissected decision to interview controversial radio host and Infowars entrepreneur Alex Jones.
The episode finally aired Sunday, averaging 3.5 million viewers, a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49 and a 0.7 rating among adults 25-54. By all measures, that's virtually the same showing Kelly got with final adjustments during week two again trailing a 60 Minutes repeat.
Audio of the interview leaked prior to the telecast when Jones posted it online in an effort to discredit Kelly's line of questioning. Kelly most notably asked Jones, a man who peddles both conspiracies and questionable dietary supplements, about his motivations for calling the devastating 2012 mass murder at Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary a "hoax."
Merely sitting down with Jones did not go over well with Sandy Hook families and a few advertisers. NBC News went aggressively on the defense, trotting out elder statesman Tom Brokaw to read an essay about the need to interview characters like Jones, due to the reach of their "poisonous claims."
Kelly's first episode came out of the gate rather strong, averaging 6.2 million viewers. Her second episode, however, dipped down to 3.6 million viewers and was dwarfed by competitor 60 Minutes despite the fact that NBC paired the show with a winning Stanley Cup final.
Sunday Night, and all Sunday originals, was again overwhelmed by sports this week. Time zone adjustments will likely alter Fox's wrap-up of the 2017 U.S. Open Golf Championship, but preliminary numbers make it a solid winner for the night. It currently has 6.1 million viewers and a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49.

She overestimated her appeal. Her ambition and ego outspent her charisma and ability.
I care not the details of her departure from the scene.
My agenda is and always has been to criticize people who merit criticism and point out corruption.
Same agenda as this web site and forum.
I used to like Meg-gone Kelly. But then, I used to like GW Bush, and a lot of others who ended up utterly betraying the nation and all their followers. They are all free to go straight to Hell.
I like the new addition to your tagline, al baby. Lol!
Who is the Alex bitch??? Never heard of the Kelly guy either...WTF
That is what I call getting owned.
Yep! Can you imagine the meltdowns she must have been having in her office? I feel sorry for any underlings who were stuck anywhere near that mess. Nightmare!
Ahhh too bad The Bottle Blonde ain’t got the chops
No one cares about who you interview
Rumor is the quisling Murdoch sons are negotiating a possible return for her at Fox (after she killed off Ailes, both figuratively and likely literally) as NBC tries to find a way out of its contract with her.

“Megyn Kelly Sees No Lift”
No more lifting her skirts, THAT’S for sure.
Can’t stand Jones, but it sure was nice to see MeGYN as a victim of her own typical ambush techniques
Its funny how he ended up scooping her all week long
Exactly! Who would ever trust her again after he played all those clips of this not being a gotcha interview. Also, they kept talking about sandy hook. How many people are going to google sandy hook and get all the real info about it. I know when someone mentioned it being a hoax on this site years ago, I looked it up. What an eye opener.
lmao, indeed. She was brainwashed like feminists, thinking being the ho she is would be more popular than family oriented needs of Americans. Even gays and lesbians would not fall for her crass classless bottom feeder soulless crap,
She lost to a 60 Minutes rerun and Golf! I thought the Alex Jones interview might generate some numbers based on its train wreck appeal, but it fell flat. I bet the network is worried!
Megyn’s finished at NBC—just waiting for the press release. In a few weeks, she will bring her ratings magic to the 9 am time slot, and deliver similar results. And making matters worse, there’s already bad blood between Kelly and other “stars” at NBC News. Flag the post; two years from now, Ms. Kelly will be working for MSNBC, or “enjoying more time with her family,” after NBC buys out her contract.
I see that. I discovered she was fired at FOX when it was discovered she was in secret negotiations with CNN, which defied her contract.
The percentage of a typical television audience who has ever heard of Alex Jones is likely small. And viewers who tuned in at the start dropped out after realizing Alex Jones isn’t a singer or dating a Kardashian.
[Time to join The View now? :)]
The View already has a sellout fauxservative Fox bimbo...
Jedediah Bila.
Alex live streamed the hit piece on his site , no doubt siphoning off a few million viewers away as he provided entertaining live commentary of the train wreck.
