Trump has been president for five months tomorrow.

Chaffetz hasn’t seen anything that makes Trump better than Obama.

That is some pretty deep horse “stuff” right there.

Trump has done many things, yet Chaffetz is not aware of any of it. Nope, Trump is no better than Obama.

And some folks even here read his message, and buy into it hook line and sinker.

Good freakin grief folks.

I’m not sure if Chaffetz is singling out Trump per se, with the exception of firing the IRS guy. Chaffetz is bonechewing over all the donothings in Congress. As he quits out of impatience. Chaffetz should stick around. Trump just now filled his cabinet. The man can only do so many things in one day.

Chaffetz has proven himself to be one of the weak sisters with no staying power. I understand the desire for more family time, but Chaffetz has chosen to make excuses for his retreat from the battlefield instead of sticking around to help Trump with the slow & difficult process of draining the swamp.

All true, but how does any of that apply to Koskinen? He was a hot button appointee reviled by the base with many demanding his immediate removal. He was running a criminal enterprise targeting conservatives and, yet he continues to serve. This is one of the major mysteries of the Trump Administration.

The sudden departure of Chaffetz is odd. Something else is going on with him. He is either under personal pressure or investigation or is hiding something. I have never trusted him.

Agree! Trump has done plenty and will do more.

Chaffetz is 100% in it for himself. That is his primary consideration.

Our President should authorize the release of whatever dirt is really behind this con-gressmans departure. I smell Chavitz (sic) everywhere.

I’m with you on this one. Chaffetz was chaffing long long ago. It was months ago he decided to resign his house seat. He has basically been a Trump denier for ever. Considering how long it took for us, the US to get in this situation, you would think Jason would have a bit more patience. Hopefully his replacement will be someone more friendly to the present administration.

You may be missing the point. He admits that Trump and his guys would be pulling their hair out. But it seems the globalist oligarchy OWNS congress and Pres Trump can’t move past it.

It seems the only way to make a dent in anything in DC is to do what the globalist leftists WANT.

The Congress as a whole is bought. Useless to the people who are supposed to control our own government. It’s not good.

Chaffetz was not talking about the overall progress the administration has made. He is talking about within the bureaucracy and like many of us can’t figure out why it has not changed. The State Dept and AG office has new people put in by Trump yet nothing has changed. That’s what he’s saying.

Chaffetz: “I think if we went to the senior-most people, even the president himself, they would be pulling their hair out and they would hate to hear that but within the bowels of the organization, they just seem to circle the wagons and think, ‘Oh we can just wait you out. We can just wait you out.’”

To be fair I think he was talking n context of getting records from Justice, saying Sessions has produced nothing they hadn't already seen. Hardly the same as criticizing Trump.

I thought there would be this, these floodgates would open up with all the documents we wanted from the Department of State, the Department of Justice, the Pentagon. In many ways, it's almost worse because we're getting nothing, and that's terribly frustrating and, with all due respect , the attorney general has not changed at all. I find him to be worse than what I saw with Loretta Lynch in terms of releasing documents and making things available.

Well that could explain the lack of progress on any of those issues, are you saying he is just whining and that what he is saying is not true?

I am choosing to think that Sessions is just a little naive as opposed to being a deep stater but if this keeps up, one could begin to question that.

Look up Judge Jeanine's Sunday opening monologue you can get most of m position from her comments.

There is no stronger Patriot or Trump supporter than me but I have every right to call his good friends out when they seem intent on destroying him. Immigration is a big deal whether you like it or not, it is not a can to be kicked down the road again, we had enough of that from GW to last a life time.

.
Chaffetz is right.

The “accomplishments” are mostly as yet unproven, and the flow on the important things is stagnant.

Its way passed time for action.

Our AG has shown himself to be all show and no action.

He makes wonderful testimony for committees where it matters little, but nothing so far in his department.
