We can always withdraw our troops, planes and ships from the Korean peninsula. There are other theatres where they’d be useful. I say that as someone who spent two grueling years there defending those people. If they no longer want our help....

Wow, was Trump throwing chairs and tables when expressing his “fury”

If I had a madman living next door anything I did would be well thought out and done slowly....

Something SK is probably doing...

Simple:

Redeploy the 50,000 troops to the Mexican Border.

Problem(s) solved.

“The revelations, if true...”

That’s more honest than our media.

the public raised questions about decisions

the public ==> hardcore left-wing agitators and their latches in media.

The public absorbs what media drums up.

When the left says "public" or "people,", it is just them or their hardcore elements.

Any negative fallout from this incident will be used as further argument for anti-American stance. People high up in the current government are hardcore pro-North/anti-American elements. They are like a proverbial scorpion, who stings a frog carrying it over the river and drowns together.

Now that they are in power, they may not even care what the public think. They could do what they want and make people swallow it.

People can be pretty gullible and easily manipulated. They now live in a happy bubble the left created.

I think Trump should announce that the USA will begin withdrawing all it's military forces with completion by the end of the year.

Seecwhere that goes.

It is time we left Korea. They’ve had decades to learn to defend themselves.

If it was originally agreed that we'd pay for the system then that's how it should remain. But OTOH if the new leadership in the ROK thinks that that fat pig up north would hesitate to attack if he saw signs of weakness or lack of resolve they're crazy! And if they think that China would do anything but support such an attack they're doubly crazy!

Kwestion: How does the Korea Herald know what went on in the Oval Office, but nary a peep from the creeps in NY, DC, LA and elsewhere? Has fake reporting spread to the Korean peninsula?

Trump should go back to being an isolationist. SK does not need US protection anymore. All US troops should have been withdrawn 20 years ago.

The cold hard truth is that China will never allow Korea to be united as long as there is one US soldier on the peninsula. Withdrawing our forces is the right thing to do for us and for the Korean people in the long term. It is necessary for a free, united and democratic Korea to emerge.

Notice how President Trump always expresses “fury”? Where Obola always expressed “concern”. Just another subtle bias.

Just like Germany, the American taxpayer has been funding/subsidizing their defense. From that national security grew Samsung, LG and KIA off the top of my head. Bring the troops and military equipment home and see how long it will take before they’re all taken over by NK.

Wasn’t Trump demanding that South Korea pay for THAAD? A billion dollars or something like that? Well now that it’s clear that they won’t cough up the bucks then why is he mad about having to pull THAAD out?
