The New Political Landscape
Two parties — Republicans and Democrats — still essentially rule American politics, but their constituencies are becoming more tribal and divided, even against their electoral allies. Trump voters hate Republican lawmakers, such as Sens. John McCain and Ben Sasse, for publicly attacking the president and his agenda during and after the 2016 election. Democrats are still picking up the pieces from a contentious DNC leadership race, where establishment-friendly Obama ally Evan Perez narrowly defeated far-left Rep. Keith Ellison.
These same divisions play out in cultural institutions, such as the social justice warriors purging classical liberal professor Bret Weinstein from the Evergreen State College campus or Fox News’ internal fight over the future of its programming style.
The arguments taking place now are over what are appropriate means to victory over the other side: for the right, whether to be polite or ruthless — and for the left, whether to be ruthless or violent.

We may be headed for a multiparty system.
No, they haven't.
Right. They were praying to Baal/Molech/Pan for the shooter to recover, then vote early and often.
We now have four political parties; the Ds, Rs, Progs and the populists. I’m no longer sure if election coalitions are possible.
This shooting is a product of the climate of hate created by the progressive left and the Democrats.
They have questioned the legitimacy of President Trumps election from the moment it happened, plotting action against him (including but not limited to impeachment) from about 10 PM Eastern on November 8.
Left-wing educators have called for Trumps assassination, and it is only after this shooting that the hypocrites at the Huffington Post pulled an article urging the same.
They have promoted and defended Kathy Griffin and the severed Trump head. they have supported and defended the assassination of Trump at Shakespeare in the Park. Madonna said she had given serious thought to blowing up the White House. Snoop dogg pointed a gun at a Trump head, done up like a clown.
Is it any wonder one of their little mind-numbed robots decided that the Republicans needed killing?
....Evan Perez narrowly defeated far-left Rep. Keith Ellison...
It’s like a choice between Lenin and Trotsky.
Weinstein isn't a "classical liberal", he is a leftist. And the Fox battle isn't conservative against conservative, it is libtard against conservatives.
The Ds and progs are one and the same.
The GOPe Rs are those who are either full blown quislings for the Ds or are those who are fine with constantly being punked.
This party is going the way of the Whigs.
I don’t know what it is going to take for conservatives to fight back against all this violence (protest/riots)...
Conservatives are individualists...We think for ourselves...It is hard for conservatives to “organize” as do the liberal leftists...
The liberal left are all “followers”...They follow the organizers without thinking at all for themselves (groupthink)...
I don’t know what the push will be, but if it does come, I believe the left will not know what hit them....
BTW. Modus Operandi should be the plural Modi Operandi
I had already posted when I caught my mistake...
Oh, well....
We may be headed for a multiparty system.
If we have Republicans,Libertarians and Democrats... We lose.
Multiparty attempts in the U.S.A. all fail, and devolve to a two party system. Those that split into two parties, lose.
We live in interesting times.
The progs are a creation of the Ds “elite” leadership.
They’re a useful idiot tool to further the installation of the Ds desired totalitarianism then they’ll be disposed of by purge in the same way useful idiots have always been.
The “populists” are just Rs and assorted Is that are sick and tired of the Uniparty GOPe accomplishing nothing but scheduled surrenders to the Ds.
What’s gotten some so confused is that people are actually getting up and fighting back in non metaphorical methods and are no longer content to simply whine about the situation while allowing themselves to be played for punks by pathological liars just because they have an R after their name.
We might wind up with something like Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Greens, and Constitution.
I’m done with this game. I am a 100% nationalist. The United States of America and it’s constitution has my loyalty. Anyone whose loyalty is International is my enemy for life.
We might wind up with something like Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Greens, and Constitution.
We pretty much have that already. It is when they start taking chunks out of the two major parties that it gets real.
There have been many elections Republicans lost (congressional seats, governors, Senators) because the Libertarians siphoned of small govenment votes. The Democrats have lost one or two because of Greens.
I do not recall the Constitutionalists being a significant factor yet. The way Trump is going, he could gather in the Libertarians and Constitutionalists, as they can see progress.
On the other hand, Sessions pushing an agressive war on states that legalized Marijuana could push them away.
The Progs didn’t turn out for Hillary whereas the Populists were instrumental in electing DJT, so I see the two groups becoming independent political forces. Things are in motion and nothing is completely clear right now but it’s fair to say Trump changed the rules going forward and for that I’m eternally grateful.
