I am amazed by the conspiracy of silence, on the right and the left, about former FBI Director Robert Mueller’s bungling of the anthrax case. “In his years as FBI director and as a Justice Department official, Mueller gained a reputation for honesty, integrity, and being a ‘straight-shooter,’” writes Fred Barnes at The Weekly Standard.
This is pure hogwash, to use a family-friendly term.
Barnes, a veteran journalist, is not alone in offering such undeserved praise of Mueller. Commentators on the right and left have been ( repeating this garbage) ever since Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel. Interestingly, Rosenstein also received high praise from various commentators. He, too, was seen as a straight shooter. With former FBI Director James Comey, they constitute an unholy alliance that is determined to take down President Donald Trump. With good reason, Trump calls it a witch hunt.
[snip] This didn’t have to happen, if journalists and commentators had been open and honest about Mueller’s real record. Simply put, Mueller can’t be trusted to arrive at the truth. The anthrax letters case proves it. He should never have received the appointment as special counsel. Barnes’ assertion that the deck has been stacked ignores the fact that he and his associates in the Never-Trump movement helped stack the deck.

The whistleblower book by Sibel Edmonds is a HUGE eye opener. She got fired for uncovering a Turkish spy ring operating INSIDE THE AGENCY, with ties to many VERY senior Govt. officials, including then sitting SecDef, William Cohen.
You got the impression her department was just one of many with similar infestations of criminals and spies.
Once you read Edmonds book, you can never see the FBI the same way again. I KNEW COMEY WAS ROTTEN . . . back when everyone was saying he was some sort of incorruptible paragon who would dispense justice to Hillary.
When the entire establishment praises someone you know they are lying.
Oh yea now I remember. The anthrax case. Where the terrorist made the anthrax down in Florida before they flew the planes into the buildings killing thousands. They went after this lonely Professor.. Scientist.
Sessions wanted him. I have been concerned about that maneuver from the beginning. Sessions was either dumb or complicit hard to fathom either conclusion. In the end it doesn't matter how it happened, only that it happened and we may not survive it as a Free Republic without CW II. Time you sycophants stop calling us #NeverTrumpers for voicing our concern.

And just how does his military service (saving a comrade is an apolitical act) have any bearing on his behavior as a politician?
You remind me of a former employee who once told me: “He knew OJ Simpson didn’t kill his wife because he was a sports figure!”
Kerry got a couple stars too (he was in ‘Nam dontyaknow) - Mueller might be of same stock.
Because he ain’t a goddam football player, and he would lay his life down for his country. A Bronze Star gets him the benefit of the doubt until he proves otherwise. He is a patriot. I don’t spit on Vets like leftists do.
