At least four American soldiers were shot and killed in an apparent insider attack by an Afghan soldier at a base in northern Afghanistan on Saturday, a military official said.
"An Afghan soldier shot and killed four American troops inside the base," said Abdul Qahar Araam, spokesman for the Afghan Army's 209th Corps. "We are investigating.

AQ is just a strong if not stronger now and more widespread than before. Plus we have ISIS and many other affiliated terrorist groups running amok all over the ME, Africa, Southwest Asia, Malaysia, Philippines, etc.
Plus our ‘parnters’ there are killing our own people.
Why are we still there?

Why are we still in Afghanistan? Because the USA was roundly criticized AFTER 9-11, for NOT entering Afghanistan after the Russians were driven out, allowing the Taliban to take over.
In other words, the USA is “Damned if you do, Damned if you don’t.”
It is still the OLD FIGHT when Britain tried to contain Russia. The Russians had few warm water ports and are often iced in in winter, so they pushed South through Afghanistan, hoping to eventually open a corridor to the Indian Ocean, and build a naval base there, the greatest fear of old Britain.
The term “wasted” got popular during Vietnam. Our wonderful soldiers, the best among us are being wasted. Afghanistan is accomplishing nothing to secure America.
At this point it is nothing but a business enterprise, funneling trillions of dollars to the chosen ones.

Because of freedom. Nobody is forcing anyone to serve with the armed forces. By the way, if everybody served, who is going to work and pay taxes to pay for the armed forces? Use logic.

No one has ever tamed Afghanistan and no one ever will.
We should not have ever put one boot on the ground there.
Daily bombing runs for 30 days bouncing the rubble was all we should have done after 9/11.
We should not spend any more treasure or lives on that God-forsaken place.

Use logic.. military folks pay taxes.
They are government employees. 100% of their pay, like any government employee’s, is tax based. Basic budgeting.
