With the ‘Russian collusion’ case against the Trump administration all but dead, the mainstream media has shifted their full attention to now building an obstruction of justice case against the White House. As such, CNN hosted Kenneth Starr, the independent counsel appointed in the 90’s to look into various Clinton scandals, including the Vince Foster death and Monica Lewinsky episode, this morning to get his thoughts on the topic.
CNN: “Do you think there is a case there?”
Starr: “It’s too soon to tell. From what I’ve seen — and of course we don’t know a whole lot — the answer is no. But it is going to be investigated and so we will soon know.”
“Obstruction of justice is really a very hard crime to make out. It’s not just you want the investigation to go away, you suggest that the investigation goes away. You’ve got to take really affirmative action and Director Comey said in his testimony that even though the expression was hope, he took it as a directive.”
“But what we know is, he didn’t do anything about it, right? That is that he did not dismiss the investigation or curtail the investigation. There’s an expression of hope, so it becomes an interpretation.”
Of course, the incredulous CNN anchor was simply unwilling to accept that Trump may be innocent of high crimes and pressed further by asking whether Comey would have had to ‘obey’ Trump’s suggestion to drop the Flynn investigation in order to be guilty of obstruction.

Good gosh. What is wrong with people? Of course there’s a problem when Mueller basically was put there by ILLEGAL actions by Comey and friend(s).

I saw the opening of their first day, with GK’s back to the camera. This was how they eased it in. As soon as I saw her back, I thought, no, that CANNOT be Gayle King.

I think the comical side of the Mueller investigation will be weekly leaks which appear on CNN. My guess is that by the end of July, Trump will request Mueller stop the leaks...which will be a failure, and then Trump will appoint the FBI the task of investigating leaks from Mueller’s staff. It’ll turn into an investigation about an investigation over an investigation.
No president is the king of America and that includes Trump. But, Trump is the king of the executive and because of that ALL of this is garbage.

Alan, the Foster case is one that will always haunt me.
He and Jerry Parks deserved better from the justice system.
It is incredible to me that no one with authority cared/cares what the Clintons were up to.
Parks was undeniable executed on a road just South of Little Rock. Upon learning of this, Foster stated, “I’m a dead man.” Six weeks later, he was.
There was a very real connection between these two men.
Parks had collected information on Bill. Hillary wanted it. He and Foster were dragging their feet on turning it over.
And then they were dead.
How convenient for the Clintons, and yet... everything seems normal to those in power.
