Also, remember that the Comey memo leak is what triggered the appointment of a special council. On May 16, the memo leaked. On May 17, a special council was appointed. So we are to believe that the selection of a council, a background investigation, and a detailed review of ethics and conflicts of interest was all done in one day and that they found no conflict of interest between Comey and Mueller when Comey is definitely a witness ( and now a potential target ) ? Now you know this must have been decided weeks prior, since they already had Mueller chosen and ready to go. This stinks of a setup.

If Comey was a witness he would not have been allowed to talk to in open session and prejudice the investigation.
I think that is the goal by the leaks and releases coming out.
How could he NOT be a witness on the obstruction charge. It was just him and Trump in the conversation. Now in open session he didn't testify to much - just what was in the memo. The only way that would not be a factor is if the council is not looking into obstruction.

If that is the case, and the special prosecutor let his only witness blabber in front of Congress, then there's no investigation, only a circus. Trump should just ignore the whole thing.
You are operating under the false assumption that they have any desire to do so, or that doing so would advance their interests.
I'll say that the more I see the entire government octopus with all it's many tentacles arrayed uniformly against Donald Trump, the more I like him. The government hasn't had us in mind at all for far longer than just about anyone at this site is willing to admit, because then you'd have to acknowledge exactly how horribly corrupt every single institution of the government has become from the top down.
Comments here seem to indicate that Mr Trump has no access to sharp attorneys to represent him, and that the ragged few he has are not paying attention.
