So do mine, all 3. But I don't have a scope mounted on a loose fitting dust cover, which is probably what this looser had.
Another question: I've heard people saying that he fired 50 to 100 rounds. Was he using stripper clips or did he have removable mags?
I’ve got an M-40, and I’m fairly good and fast with it. Rifle shots seem a little fast in the videos for it to be a bolt action USMC sniper rifle.
I realize that 7.62x39 is not a particularly high powered cartridge but it would still suck to be shot with one.
Not to make this gross. But he was there with a whole bunch of people in an open field. It was his ballgame so to speak. A practiced shooter would have taken out 10 or more, dead, before being attacked. It appears the worst injuries at this time is to Scalese. (I’m praying for him).
He was a lousy shot. Thank goodness.
This guy Hodgekindon was a clown in life. And ended it a clown. Thank Goodness he’s dead.
Before we get to high-power we must first define low-power.
What?
Well, that would certainly explain it. Hell, given the MSM, I'd not be surprised to see him using a Formula 409 by the end of the day.
None of the video or audio has select fire or full auto fire. Semi-auto throughout.
An AK47 modified to fire with a detachable magazine is curved the same as an AK mag.
The curve comes from the bullet geometry. It causes a sloping as it is stacked. A person basing it solely on the magazine can be confused. The biggest obvious difference is an SKS has a rounded receiver with a bolt opening to the top while an AK is squared off with a bolt accessed from the right side. The receivers are nothing alike and can’t be modded to look similar. Barrels and stocks can be modded to be similar.
After listening to all the spineless republicans cower and the loony diabolical left defend this monster I can only say stick a fork in America she’s done! Nothing is going to change, nothing will take us back to what Americal used to be! I don’t know if it’s because I have lost faith in our government and our representatives... there’s just so much evil that cannot be defeated! I hear the NY theater group is still going to perform the assassination of Trump/Ceasar this evening at the park ...how much more evil can people get! This type of hatred cannot be put back in the bottle something major has to give! I believe the volcano has blown!
Yes. The SKS isn’t any less accurate or lethal than an AK47. It just has a very different magazine, trigger, and bolt design. I’m partial to the SKS-M/D models which accept AK magazines natively.
Note to non-gun people: Generally, any centerfire rifle is referred to as “High-powered”, to distinguish it from rimfire rifles, such as .22’s. Neither is a toy.
Yeah, the much celebrated M-4 SKS AK-74 with shoulder goes up thingy and a starlite scope.
So basically this guy is a Registered Democrat shooting a Russian weapon.
Hmmmmmmm
Owen probably kept remembering Gunny Sgt. Highway's ironic quote here:
I say "ironic" only because the gunshots in the movie sound like every other hollywood soundtrack.
Well, I for one don’t want to be shot with it. I have known too many who were put down by a .22LR.
Yup yup yup.
Perfectly adequate for killing at 200-300 yards a medium sized creature.
For comparison, a typical semi-auto handgun round has 400-500 ftlbs of energy at muzzle. A 44Magnum will have around 900 ftlbs. A 5.56NATO will have between 1200-1400 ftlbs. An SKS/AK will have 1300-1400 ftlbs. A 270Win (deer hunting round) will have roughly 2800 ftlbs.
It’s not unusual to see a Hmong hunter using an SKS at 125yards to take down a deer. Been hearing about them for years being used in a pinch.
An SKS is combat effective.Same round as an AK47,powerful enough to kill easily.>>> and you can load up 10 rounds in stripper clips and drop them in all day long.
