My trauma first aid is pretty limited, but I am not sure how you would tourniquet a hip shot. But pressure on the spot is the universal first step.

He had some kind of bandage at the top of his thigh in a pic. Rep who is Dr helped attend him

It is in incredible if no one is dead given the number of shots

The iliac and femoral arteries and veins run on the inside groin areas of the hip joints bilaterally. Major blood vessels if hit and less vascular damage the further lateral anatomy extends. Prayers for quick and total recovery.
