The Germans are not "meddling in British domestic politics" -- the elections are over, now the horse-trading begins. May lost her chance for an unequivocal mandate for hard Brexit. The Germans are just acknowledging the changed realities created by the Brits voting.
btw, Germany during WWI and WWII mistakenly believed it could co-opt Britain into its schemes, not to destroy Britian -- a fellow Germanic nation.
