A close friend of President Trump said on Monday that the President is considering firing Robert Mueller, the special counsel who is leading the federal investigation into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Chris Ruddy, CEO of Newsmax Media and a longtime Trump friend, told PBS's Judy Woodruff that Trump is weighing whether to fire Mueller.
"I think he's considering perhaps terminating the special counsel. I think he's weighing that option," Ruddy said on PBS NewsHour.

Trump appointed Rod Rosenstein Deputy Attorney General. Rosenstein has been a member of the DOJ bureaucracy since 1990. Rosenstein appointed Mueller to be a special prosecutor in the alleged Russian election controversy even though there was no evidence any crime had been committed.
Perhaps Trump’s mistake was in choosing a swamp creature to be #2 at the Department of Justice.
All the while, the press is putting a spotlight on Mueller's bias.
He should fire Mueller and the dumb bastard who appointed him.

This the investigation without announced crime. Pure fishing expedition. I say just pardon everyone, including himself, of anything related, and get this over with.
That said, Mueller is compromised, knows it, and should recuse himself or be fired.

After Comeys testimony, I am confused as to what Mueller is investigating. There is no need for him, so yes, fire him.

JMO - Rosenstein needs to fire Mueller. He hired him, he needs to fire him.
This is going to be devastating politically for the President if he has to do this.
