Delta Air Lines Inc. and Bank of America Corp. dropped their sponsorships of New York Public Theater on Sunday over a production of Shakespeares Julius Caesar that shows the main character, made to resemble Donald Trump, being assassinated.
No matter what your political stance may be, the graphic staging of Julius Caesar at this summers Free Shakespeare in the Park does not reflect Delta Air Lines values, the airline said in a statement Sunday afternoon. Their artistic and creative direction crossed the line on the standards of good taste.

Trump’s pick to lead antitrust division raises concerns over vertical mergers
BY HARPER NEIDIG - 05/30/17 11:41 AM EDT
President Trumps nominee to run the Department of Justices antitrust division said that vertical mergers, such as the proposed AT&T-Time Warner deal, can raise competitive concerns.
I’d say, good, starve the leftist beasts - except my cat would tell me that was insulting to beasts, and would you please stop associating innocent beasts with lefties?
Charlie Martin of PJM was very accurate when he said this “production” had all the wit and subtlety of a fart joke.
They finally received enough messages complaining about their sponsorships.
Isn’t Caeser the tragic hero of the play? Who is killed by the villians but his side ultimately triumph in the end?
Do the people who staged this production even understand the play they are making?
Shakespeare was anti-Trump?
Much prefer Delta over UA!
“Their artistic and creative direction crossed the line on the standards of good taste...........
“Artistic and creative” was a huge over reach.
Family farmers, on the other hand, have their wealth tied up in land, which can be lost to inheritance taxes and thus not available to their heirs. Our government is definitely not on the side of the ordinary middle class taxpaying American.
UA will self destruct over it’s bad service. ROFLOL
From the NYTimes review of the production of "Julius Caesar".
Because, to the NYTime, promoting the assassination of the President is "nasty fun". But of course.
The historically ignorant Times forgets to note the assassination of Caesar was followed by years of civil war. The same would follow in this country, and the instigators might find themselves subject to "nasty fun".
If there were real creativity involved, the play would feature a surprise ending where Kathy Griffin walks onto the stage with a bloody head in hand, and holds it up until everyone gets nauseated and leaves.
Well done, this play is disgusting.
First time Banco de América has done something decent in years.
