Whether they were just close professional friends, or consider themselves personally friendly, the fact is that they are not at arms length. This relationship, at least as reported, appears to be much more than the routine interactions you might expect two law enforcement officers to have had in the regular course of business.
Something doesn’t seem right here. Comey manipulated the system into getting his friend appointed Special Counsel, and now that friend will be investigating matters in which Comey is a key witness. More than that, Comey’s own actions in leaking government property raise legal issues as to whether Comey himself violated the law.
Even assuming Mueller is able to separate his past with Comey from his present investigation, that relationship damages the whole purpose of having a Special Counsel who is completely independent in fact and appearance.
In a truly independent investigation, friends shouldn’t be investigating friends. Mueller should step aside to remove the taint on the Special Counsel investigation created by friend and witness James Comey.

He should also be fired, but that is now political suicide and would give the Uniparty Republicans the excuse they need to join the Democrats and support impeachment IMO. Mueller is the slow burning fuse to keep the Russia hysteria alive and produce the fiction necessary to try to cripple Trump, stop his agenda or get him impeached.

First they need to be charged with sedition, have the evidence go to a grand jury, and then go to trial and found guilty.
Hopefully, there will be stampedes by some of the sedition pushers to roll over on the other sedition pushers for a good deal.

It might not if they put Dreeben in charge as he is well respected . Dont know if that is allowed as per gov. Regs.
If Sessions had only talked to Trump before recusing himself none of this likely would have happened. We are now 5+ months into the Trump admin and we still have swamp creatures crawling out of the swamp and making their way into Trump’s pristine space and bringing other swamp dwellers with them. This needs to end.

Comey admitted they have been investigating Trump for a year on this alleged collusion with Russian hacking and have come up with nothing.
Rosenstein needs to amend the Special Counsel appointment to limit it to only the Manafort and Flynn matters and take everything else back into the regular DOJ as the investigation demonstrates there is no basis for a Special Counsel since there is no conflict of interest, as there was no collusion by Trump with the Russian government to hack the election.
And Mueller needs to be replaced by someone with no connection to the Clintons, Obama or the Never Trumpers.

I’m not sure why, at this point with Comey admitting he was the leaker that prompted the assignment of the special console Mueller hasn’t been pressured to resign or recuse himself from any leak investigations.
When the Senators get Sessions and Rosenstein in front of them for questioning this week, they need to ask Rosenstein about the conflict of interest Mueller has and how to resolve it.
Rosenstein is in charge of supervising the Special Counsel within the limits of the Special Counsel regulation, and if the Special Counsel is no longer independent of conflicts of interest, then he needs to be replaced.
