I had always understood the rule, prior to Obama, was that ONLY the American flag flew at U.S. diplomatic posts. Then Obama raised the rainbow flag. Just curious: what other causes/groups does the U.S. embassy now routinely celebrate in this way? Are there any others?
That is the way it should be, but the politicians and sadly plenty of people in our society do not care about sticking to traditional etiquette and protocols.
