Trump was never comfortable with sending illegals who were brought here through no fault of their own, know no other country but this country and are now in college.
The so called “DACA” were and are quite different from the hordes who were invited and allowed to invade our southern border for eight years, under Obama.
Trump is not without a conscience, but strict and a reasonable man who will get these achievers, with perfectly clean records, their chance to stay or will expedite a re-entry exercise.
The expedited re-entry should satisfy even skinheads.

You didn’t miss anything. Trump promised wall, deportation of those who participate in criminal activity, but with regard to DREAMERS he said “I have a big heart.” And “compassion.”
He is doing the right thing. IMHO.
