An Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll released Friday shows Democrat Jon Ossoff has a 7-point edge over Republican Karen Handel in the nationally watched race to represent Georgias 6th Congressional District. The poll of likely voters has Ossoff leading Handel by 51 percent to 44 percent ahead of the June 20 runoff. About 5 percent of voters are undecided. The margin of error is 4 percentage points. Both national parties have poured astonishing resources into the race, which some see as a bellwether for next years midterm elections. The race is by far the most expensive contest of its kind, and Ossoff has shattered fundraising records by raising more than $23 million. The poll, conducted by Abt Associates, is one of several recent surveys that show Ossoff with an advantage although most show a tighter margin. They suggest that Ossoff is in a commanding position in the races final days but that Handel is just within striking distance

I would think that there are some silent voters who are ticked at the idea of their Congressman not even living where they do. This is pride-of-place country and if you aren’t one of us, you aren’t going to represent us.
Also like the Los Feliz Republican Women’s Club, long dead.
Yep, why people on here don’t believe that is beyond me
Not on the ground, but general understanding would dictate this poll sounds fishy... Similar to the polls hoeing Hillary winning PA by 8 or 10 points or whatever it was.
He couldn’t get 50% against a crowded and decided field, yet now he’s at 51% while the decided field collescing is only 44%???
Mat doesn’t add up to this polls claims
I don’t even know why polls are news anymore. They rarely turn out to be accurate and when they are, I just think it’s the law of averages.
The April election had Republicans voting 51% (98192), dems 49% (94201). It would stand to reason reps would vote in greater numbers giving Handel the win. Reps tend to be more reliable voters, one can hope.
Liberals are insane and have NO MORALS!! He doesn’t even LIVE in this district! and he can’t even VOTE for himself!!
I tried to donate to Handel but ran away when my full credit card number came up. After I just typed in my first name my last name full address and card number popped up. I’ll pray for her but I will run away from this.
Tom Price won that seat with 61%. Its pretty conservative. Handel is a terrible campaigner but hopefully she still pulls off the with . I would not put much stock in any poll that pinko commie rag the AJC comes up with.
Absentee ballots could be applied for and cast May 2. Ossoff staff knew exactly who their voters were from the earlier round and started getting them to vote on May 2. This is the problem, Handel’s people don’t understand how the game is played.
Ossoff’s people seem to have a much better idea of how to conduct a ground game.
But what do I know? I have extensive experience in IL. But I truly do not understand the naivete of people in GA.
I used to live in Cobb County, moved to Florida in 2003. I cannot believe Cobb and Gwinnett went for Clinton. They both used to be some of the most conservative counties in the nation. Shocking what a difference 10-15 years make with the changing demographics. Sad. Scary.
Price recently won this seat 62% to 38%. Hard to imagine any dem winning this seat... After a recent 24 point loss.
Now Handel isn’t the strongest candidate with Pence rallying the locals I expect her to win with by at least, worst case, 4%.
