Good grief guy never stood a chance in life named Earl Scruggs. Parents did him in at birth.

As a kid, we adopted a female cat who had grown up with a neighbor who raised bulldogs... That cat would attack and RIDE THE BACKS of dogs who entered our yard! When she had kittens, she would bring squirrels, rabbits and even a baby raccoon for her kittens to attack under her supervision! Cats can be ferocious when they want to!

Years ago, my mom had a little 7 pound female Siamese. Nicest can you’d ever seen. One day it was cornered on our front porch by a 2 year old doberman. It couldn’t escape so the cat killed the dog. I’ve never seen so much blood.
Never underestimate a cat’s ability to protect itself our it’s family.

My chocolate lab would bark at an intruder, but once inside, she would try and be his best friend. I’m alright with that. She’s the early warning system. I’m the response team. And I won’t be trying to make friends with the bad guy.

That old saying: When seconds count, the cops are many minutes away. Assuming they bother to take the call. Unless you live in a rural area. Then they could be hours away. And if you live in rural Alaska, they could be days away.

Cats can punch too. I have been swatted by cats, and they leave a nice bruise.

She was lucky this time. She really needs to purchase a firearm. Yes, then she could ask, "do feel lucky? Well, do you, punk? I'll blow you into last summer." That might get his attention. 😆

Foggy Mountain Breakdown!
I had a female cat who beat the crap out of a tomcat that walked across our yard. We cracked the door open and she sprang out of there and was all over the big boy. She chased him a half block down the street. And she was declawed.

A friend of mine gave me a retired working dog (police dog). I used to joke that all a burglar would need to break in the house was a tennis ball. However if you ever laid a hand on any one in the house he would go into action, and I don’t mean chasing tennis balls.

That was you?! Had one in a crawl space once stalking me. Wherever I was working there it was, 5 feet away, staring with the ears back. I got rattled because I couldn’t stand up in there!
