TRUMP'S PICK FOR FBI DIRECTOR TIED TO SHARIAH-COMPLIANT DEALS
wnd.com ^ | 6/8/2017 | LEO HOHMANN

Shariah law is like a mysterious “other” for most Westerners, who may know of its intolerance of other religions and its criminal codes that call for stoning adulterers and the cutting off of limbs for petty thieves. But few know there is a portion of Shariah that includes a thriving area of finance — deals for real estate and business transactions taking place all over the world with Arab money.

President Donald Trump’s pick to head the FBI, Christopher Wray, surely knows something about this segment of Shariah. Wray is a litigation partner at King & Spalding, which is one of the leading conduits for Shariah-compliant Islamic deal-making around the world. The firm prides itself in its connections to wealthy Middle Eastern investment groups.

According to its website, King & Spalding is a global leader in Islamic finance and investment. It was one of the first American law firms to aid Islamic investors in accumulating assets in the West. The King & Spalding website states:

“Our work in the Middle East and our experience with Islamic finance date back to the early 1980s. In 1995, we were the first law firm to establish a dedicated Islamic finance and investment practice group. Our award-winning group has been successful in developing the legal architecture needed by our clients to break new ground in this specialized field. We are the only law firm with recognized experience and the depth to structure and implement sophisticated Shari’ah-compliant investment and financing transactions in the Middle East, Europe and the United States.”

You're correct!

Some here are #NEVERTRUMPERS, so they post utter crap about everything he says, does, they imagine.

Many have less than NO idea/understanding about Trump's milieux, so make uneducated, pathetically stupid posts about him/what he says/what he does.

Others want him to act and talk like other pols, but that is NOT who he is, nor why the majority of people voted for him.

And since WHEN, exactly, does the FBI make any laws for the USA?

Your post is patently ridiculous!

Establishment conflation at it’s best. If we took everything published at face value, we would all be subjects in the land of Madam Dearest.

OK, so now you want someone who has never worked in the Justice Department? Maybe Joe Lieberman?

How is he qualified to be FBI Director?
Aside from being appointed by the President of The United States, what are the other qualifications?

I'll bet you think a Supreme Court Justice has to have a law degree.

Classic example of mental pygmies who think “coincidence” is equal to “causation”.

Total BS article. And guess what, FReepers are not the Deciders, so what difference does it make?

> Is this where someone points out that not every adherent to Islam is a terrorist?

This is where I point out that the person so pointing out doesn’t have the slightest understanding of Islam. It’s an integrated hive mind entity with your death on its mind.

The apparently peaceful Muslims are like the soft fur on the belly of the tiger that is feasting on your entrails.

No interest allowed under Sharia Law.

So to make a loan Sharia compliant, they lie.

The document says the amount borrowed is the principal plus interest due on the loan. Its magic. See no interest.

I think it's a little more nuanced than this. The basic principle is they are allowed to enter into an investment partnership, but not to directly charge interest. So a loan has to described in terms that depict it as a joint investment between the lender and the borrower. It's a fig leaf of course, but intended to limit borrowing to those items that can reasonably anticipated to appreciate in value. I think Dave Ramsay says something similar about borrowing.

Aahh I wondered how they make that work, it seemed like an impossibility to me. So the lawyers, to facilitate all these allegedly “Sharia compliant” loans, must LIE in the legal documents. Maybe they would say that it’s the clients who are lying and the lawyers merely facilitate the paperwork??? But if the lawyers know the figures are sham, then how does this fit with legal ethics???? Never mind the law.

It’s not like a case with a criminal where the lawyer simply does not ASK the questions (everyone deserves legal representation etc.). In the Sharia-compliance case it would seem clear that the lawyers do KNOW with certainty that the figures are false.

This is making Wray seem like a terrible choice, for sure.

“... I still have hard concerns over some DC lawyer representing wealthy muzzies...”

He worked for a law firm that employs 900 lawyers...

Please show where he directly represented “wealthy muzzies” himself...

My guess is that King & Spalding have many more clients than the Muslims....

Wray is said to work in litigation...That would not be the group to work with the Muslim clients...

What’s your point?

Law firms handle many things. Doesn’t mean a thing about any individual partner

Name one case he handled that shows why he shouldn’t be FBI director
